KDICE ? Fun Game.
Once again, I am ?retiring? from kDice while leading the month. I would like to tell everyone that I am once again Retiring because of PGAs and cheating. The truth is that I don?t have the time to play much for the rest of the month. I have no chance of winning. Anyway, I want to APOLOGIZE PERSONALLY to the current Cabal team-PGA members: VERMONT, DASFURY, MONTECARLO, WISHBONE, BCMATTEAGLES, and MADHAT SAM. This Team of PGAs are no worse than any of the other groups at the elite tables. But since they are the most successful, most innovative, and best players - who frequently determine the outcomes of games based upon PGAs (rather than the game itself or the chatbox)? ?I feel IT IS FAIR to target them as a group (even though they are all great guys personally). For example, Roger Clemens and Barry Bonds aren?t the only people to use steroids in baseball, but everyone focuses on them because they are the best. I feel that someone needs to instill a respect for the competitive nature of kDice. There should be more value placed on ?in-game strategy?, rather than always rewarding people with the best PGAs. Anyway I want to apologize to each member of the cabal for targeting them for their actions. If any of us get the opportunity to play with one of them alone, they are often very good and fun and useful competitors. But I do not apologize for revealing the Cabal PGA actions AS A GROUP. The Cabal certainly isn?t the most dishonorable group of PGAs. The Cabal is just the most talented and successful group. Anyway since Ryan has been unable to find PGA fixes? It is upon us, the competitors, to act as the anti-PGA force in this game. I feel very strongly about cleaning up the game, so I have chosen to endure many months of argumentation with some of the best players. VERMONT, DASFURY, MONTECARLO, WISHBONE, BCMATTEAGLES, and MADHAT SAM : Your PGA actions aren?t at all uncommon, but we have to make an example of you. As a considerate kDice community member, there is an easy way to keep The Cabal from PGAs in the future. KILL THEM! For many months the ANTI-CABAL has been successful in keeping The Cabal from ultimate success in the standings. but it seems like the most active ANTI-CABAL members are losing hope of stopping the cheaters. Mikeypoo, Cabbage, Big Jumblies, Joex, Tsjombe, WayneRooney, Facejon, Jagger, XLUCKX, RND, Linch, and Canarioz have all done well in their pursuit of defeating the unfair efforts of the cabal. I don't think the lack of Anti-PGA / Anti-Cabal sentiment is due to lack of passion in the game. I am afraid that the lack of Anti-PGA / Anti-Cabal sentiment is due to the cleverness of The Cabal, their ability to outsmart the gaming public. I have seen many unknowing pawns (people who don?t get fair treatment from the cabal), yet these pawns often don't even realize they are victims of fixed games. Some of the new players or more casual players may not have observed enough games to recognize what VERMONT, DASFURY, MONTECARLO, WISHBONE, BCMATTEAGLES, and MADHAT SAM are doing. I hear a ton of people (especially new people) complaining about the elitism of kDice, but many of them don?t know that the Cabal is pulling the strings. Even worse are the foolish competitors who think they are part of the ?in-crowd?. Each member of The Cabal has PGAs with additional players, yet the add-ons generally tend to reward the Cabalmroe than they get rewarded. It is like a pyramid scheme, n00b pawns feed favors to the cabal hoping that one day they will get a chance to win. There are many very reasonable people who sometimes get favors from cabal members. There are even people who are naive enough to believe there are no PGAs. It is so funny to see an ignorant pawn like Kehoe claim there is no PGA, no cabal, while he thinks he?s getting special favors from them. Meanwhile The Cabal use him for favors all the time and he gets little in return. The thing that pawns like Kehoe don?t see - are the brilliant tactics that Cabal members are able to employ to help each other. Even if these pawns think they are part of the ?in-crowd? or PGA with the cabal, these pawns will often find themselves ?accidentally? cut off to your connection, ?accidentally? blocked into attacking a strong enemy, ?accidentally? prevented from access to the neutral/enemy territories required to go up in the standings, or otherwise undermined in effort to improve Cabal standings. Actually I don?t have much sympathy for these pawns, because they should know better, they have been warned, they are victims and facilitators of evil Cabal actions. I often laugh when watching games where these pawns avoid obstructed from their best opportunity to win, in order to please their Cabal master. GOOD DOGGIE! Good Boy! If ANY KDICER happens to be lured by The Cabal for favors, or you happen to be their full-out bitch: I can only pity you. I hope one day you will grow a sack of balls and start competing! And for everyone else (the other 4000 active accounts): I hope you can clean up the game. Surely the Cabal is not the only group of cheaters. Surely the Cabal isn?t the worst group of cheaters. But you can start here. You can make them stop cheating! If any of them are sitting, you can be 90% positive they have a PGA sitting with them. If there are two or more, the game is just a waste of time! Anyway, here is my solution to the Cabal PGA problem. If you see these players sitting at your table, they are probably PGA with someone else. Even if you think you are their PGA, it is quite possible they will obstruct you for a more important PGA. Your best move is to KILL THEM ON SIGHT. Dear KDice Community, NEVER TRUST THE FOLLOWING PLAYERS AND KILL THEM ON SIGHT: MONECARLO, VEMRONT, WISHBONE, DASFURY, BCMATTEAGLES, MADHAT SAM And if you see some stupid pawns sucking up to them, people like Kehoe, you probably better kill them, too. |

3: If a feature in a game is popular/effective, it is cheap: Be it the chainsaw in Gears of War, or snipers in any FPS ever made, there are a number of cool features and tactics in games that people not only find enjoyable to use, but are often highly effective methods of securing victory -- never use them. If you do so, you are cheap and will become a noob. You are a hardcore gamer now, which means you only use shotguns or anything else that's really boring. You hate all that is popular, and if you see anybody utilising the best/more useful features of a game, you are to get rid of them immediately. If these pukes were good at the game like you, they wouldn't need to rely on such cheap tactics, would they? They'd be like you, running around with the shotgun, not having fun and despising everything everyone else is doing. The fact that they have killed you so many times is proof of how bad they are at playing. 4: If anything kills you at all, it is cheap: Like the above rule, but applied to every potential threat in a game. If someone shoots you to death using nothing but a pistol and with his eyes closed, he is being cheap. Cheap is one of the most brutal insults after noob, and anybody who hears it will feel worse about the fact they are winning ten to zero. It's a hollow victory, because they are so cheap. 5: If you are losing, it is because of lag: Following on from the cheapness laws, you will soon get to learn that nothing is ever your fault when it comes to gaming. Lag is a process whereby everyone in the game becomes better than you thanks to the Internet helping them become cheap. The Internet does this a lot, but never affects the enemies you kill yourself, because you have skills. Nearly every death you ever suffer in a game will be due to lag of some kind. The Internet hates you that much, even though you are so good. 6: If you are losing badly, it is because they are hacking: Losing a little is one thing, that's just lag conspiring to keep your ownage levels down, but lag can only help the noobs cheaply beat you so much. If you are losing to such a point where not even your lag-pwning skill seems to be making a difference, well there's only one solution, and it's not that they are better than you -- it's that they are hacking. People who appear to be doing a lot of killing and not much of being killed are hackers, plain and simple. There is no way they're that good without cheating. Re-assure your team (after calling them worthless) that the enemy is clearly powered by nefarious undertakings and you are being penalized for your wholesome and pure ways. Then remember to say alpha. |

at 7:01 AM, Tuesday January 15, 2008 EST Interesting Rnd.
Non-board and non-chat strategy (such as Instant Messaging or PGAs) can be very successful strategies in kDice. I want to inform the gaming public about these complex strategies. There are a couple ways that fellow competitors can adjust to these strategies: 1) Use the same strategies against the people like Rnd who are resourceful enough to PGA and IM. 2) Identify and kill anyone who seems to be using these strategies and kill them, thereby encouraging these PGA/AIM resourceful players to reconsider using PGA/AIM. I will make it my job to identify the people who use non-board non-chat strategies, and it is up to the community to encourage or discourage this behavior. |

at 4:25 PM, Tuesday January 15, 2008 EST Oh man one time I was playing some shooting game (it might have been counter strike I don't know) in one of those internet cafe things with a pack of asians and I picked up a shot gun or something and was killing a bunch of shit and then they yelled at me because I was being cheap or something - the only word I made out was "noob," but yeah fuck people who play video games. They are all for the most part giant fags. In before "holy run on sentence batman,". (ps people who say that are fags too)

at 7:27 PM, Tuesday January 15, 2008 EST i do not understand why this site has yet to reach a point where you can play against your friends / do the yahoo public / private / protected table thing where you can boot cheaters.
also, now that luck is being calculated, shouldn't we go back to using an elo computation and simply not punish people for being victims of bad luck? |
