Just suppose that certain members, under a certain amount of duress and peer pressure it must be added, are determined to silence a growing minority of players sick with PGA, position fixing, game fixing and elitism.
Just suppose that these certain members reputations are built purely on their ranking and standing alone, and without this they would be ignored. Just suppose that as someone who stands against all out cheating, hypocracy and lies, you stand a high chance of being made to look a mockery, despite continual proof and evidence that such an undercurrent exists. Just suppose the members who claim to be against such devious behaviour, are actually behind it as a result of being unable to cut ties with those who helped to make this game a success. Just suppose this thread is revealing all sorts of truths that will be disregarded by members who have no profile, no ident and no way of proving otherwise. Just suppose that it is possible to look in on full blown conversations in rooms that appear to be empty, and to glean a good deal of light from said conversations. Just suppose that certain members, who have magically appeared out of the woodwork are now insisting on crushing any commentary that would stand against this cosy setup. Just suppose that you are being duped, and that in this tiny avenue of the universe, crime does pay - and that the age-old adage 'it's not what you know, but who' is in full effect. Just suppose that in order to re-enforce their lies, this group of 'players' have to run other members names through the mud to ensure that no stone is turned, no angle is exposed. Just suppose that as a result of lies, these players are unable to justify any black-hearted, deceitful thing they say - and in turn have to rely on like minded individuals to corroborate their fiction. Just suppose that what I am saying is purely fantasy, paranoia and speculation, and that I have no solid evidence other than what I have recorded on this computer. Just suppose it all stopped, and all players were made equal. Enjoy your game. It is YOUR game... right? |

Ah, conspiracy theory, I love conspiracy theories. Don't know whether you would call me part of the 'certain members' of the elite, but if you do, I would totally deny all your charges. If you don't count me, I second your allegation - after all, conspiracy theories are usually right. Ah, according to your list of friends of bcmatteagles, DiceLord is a friend of the elite and therefore part of the elite. I, however, am not a friend of bcmatteagles (neither of DiceLord, but my alt account is), so I guess I support your claims about the DiceLord conspiracy. Totally. Brubaker, you seemed to be a nice enough guy when I played you. I usually rather avoid attacking the nice-enough-guys (and gals) and go for the douche bags or the people who don't say anything. So I'm pretty easily convinced not to attack somebody unless it would really help me. Ah, and there's a lot of people who have already convinced me (call that the social aspect of the game). A lot of the members of the top 25 are not among them - and you would be surprised to see how complex the relationships up there really are (not that I know all about it). When playing some of the people from the previously lower levels, me and a couple of 'friends' (yes, they are) have noticed that none of them ever chats with us. Please do it! Socialize! Become part of the social interaction which actually makes kdice exciting and worth playing! |

If you want to call rnd a cheater, come out and say it. Say, "I think rnd is a cheater." Not so hard, really. Of course, then you would have to make actual assertions. And those assertions could be examined, and contested, and perhaps shown wrong. But instead of actually saying anything, you put up a bunch of bullshit insinuations. Suppose this, and suppose that. You're not actually coming out and _saying_ anything's wrong -- you're just suggesting an innocent hypothetical. And in the process, insinuating all sorts of things. It's an underhanded, bullshit way to go about attacking people. If you want to criticize rnd, Mikey, dicey girl, whoever, then have the balls to come out and say it. Otherwise, go away. *** Full disclosure of who's paying me to write this: Dicey is a friend. Unfortunately, she's never offered me any sexual favors. I'm hoping this post will at least get me a bit of over-the-sweater action. Mikey _has_ offered sexual favors, rather insistently, but so far I've been able to elude him. And as for Ron -- well, it was really dark, and I was really drunk. |
