first off, you're right. completely rude of me to respond that way. i was really frustrated by the game. apologies to ryan. that being said, i have been here from the beginning. i will be here no longer and i will miss the personalitieds--from who knows where--that i have come to enjoy.

well, first of all, that's why there was a test sever; so we could test drive it and tell ryan what we thought. Since I believe only a small percentage of people played it, no one really got a feel for it.

Change isn't always going go over well. We have to lighten up about it though. It's fine to say "It sucks, I like the old one", but only if you really can come up with a way of backing that up.

One big change is the neutral stuff. That's because ever since we had the game, people have absolutely bitched about flaggers. Ryan tried to solve that using some of our ideas, and he did great work.

I like it cuz there's almost no limit to your potential, and it truly shows how good you are combined with how much experience you have.

Also, many of you who are complaining don't seem to be long time players, except for a few. Right now, we can only embrace change, not repel it.

My only gripe is that you are done for if you get a BAD, and I mean bad roll, or you get a terrible start. I wish that we could all start with the same amount, or on equal terms, but that's not gonna happen....can it?

"I personally hate that I have to work 5 or 6 games to build a score, and one bad game wipes out my score"

My experiences have been opposite with that. Wins should get you about +15 or more, and a smart 7th place loss should get you about 7-9 max. If you flag wisely you should be able to gain more than you lose.

I think with a little change in approach to the game and a good nights sleep (god knows I need one), most players will realise that this is a massive improvement on the last version.

As much as I loved the earlier versions, I think this is a drastic move forward and has truly identified it as a game in it's own right, whereas before it was more like a glorified version of DiceWars.

KDice+ is mint - and I'm not just saying that because I've got my head around the way it works, but moreover BECAUSE of the way it works.

A fantastic amount of thought, time and effort has gone into creating a game - which incidentally is still FREE - that is even more fun than ever before. It's faster, smarter and dare I say it - fairer - than ever before.

I don't fycking hate. I fycking loves it. Now, if only there was a limit on the amount of hours you could burn playing the damn thing each day. Perhaps I could get some bloody sleep that way. ;)

GJ to all those behind the scenes - keep it up!!

As with any game, whether it be kdice or civilization 4 or world of warcraft, no matter how much beta testing is done, there's always a need for refinement once the game is played by the masses. So instead of heaping hate and scorn, about heaping constructive suggestions to tweak the game experience.

I for one love the new flagging system. No more ninja flagging and whining. Is it perfect? No. The first version of kdice wasn't perfect the first time around.

Do I love the new scoring system? Not 100%, no. Does it need some work, i think so. Am i going to go apesh!t over it? No. Tweaks and refinements will be made. I personally would like to see less of what i perceive as an overly heavy reliance on the early rounds of your domination score... when things are in their greatest state of flux. I'd also like to see a more equitable distribution of points.... right now, particularly if there ends up being a 3 way fight for first that drags on for a couple of rounds, only the player in 1st gets any points. Those who finish 2nd or 3rd, even though they may have played a great game, end up with minimal points or even negative points.

Keep up the good work Ryan, and I'm sure we'll all figure out how to play this version, refinements will be made, and life will be good again.

udbking, that's the point. First place should get the most points by a long shot. The goal of this game has always been to be first place, although at the 2k tables it seemed not not be like that. Second and third places should have flagged earlier to get more points, and not be so stubborn for place.
