I really don't like the new system. Anyone with me?

The game is less about strategy and more about luck. I also think that the dice odds have changed. Please bring back the fun or go to a happy medium.

Interesting big word Fuzzy :)

Probably just having the most incredible run of bad luck is a coincidence to the new scoring. Just have noticed it with many others as well since the changes. :)

I think that people are paranoid when they suggest that the "dice odds have changed". Unless Ryan likes messing with our minds, there would be no reason to do it.

Regarding suicide runs, they don't work. Calculated agressive attacking does. If you think that they are necessary to win, then do them. If you think they are a bad move, don't. Adapt and test strategies. I ran my score down to the low 1300s testing various strategies, and the worst ones by far were the kamikaze style. Careful analysis of what territories your strong neighbors are likely to attack (and therefore avoid getting yourself in the way) is an essential strategy. If strategy played no role, and it was all about luck, there wouldn't be people climbing the ranks and staying there. Just give it a chance and develop new strategies.

I'd like to thank all the crazies who hate the new scoring system.

I have stuck to the same conservative strategy I have always used and, because of all the suicidal nuts now playing, I win way more often than before! Thanks guys!

"The game is less about strategy and more about luck."

If strategy is just being the first to ask for a truce, maybe. That is part of it, and that doesn't work as well as it used to. I like to think the more important aspect of strategy in the game is about making the right choices in where and when to attack. This is more important now that you can't rely on a large partner to drag your score up.

And anyone who thinks the dice rolls are somehow different after the scoring change is wrong. I'm just as unlucky as I've always been :)

Kristen, if many experience it, it shows that the attribution failure is quite interpersoal stable :)

Maybe chances increase general paranoia?

Maby I saw multiple rediculous losses from the same person in the same game. Let me remind you.

8 vs 5 - LOSE
8 vs 6 - LOSE
8 vs 6 - LOSE
7 vs 6 - LOSE
7 vs 5 - LOSE

I have never seen such silly rolls but since the new update they can almost be depended on.

Also, the only people that think there is more strategy now are the people who cry about alliances. Anyone who focuses on actually playing the game instead of crying about alliances has seen that the actual strategy of taking and holding territories is all luck.

As far as rolls go, I was doing fine today, had a chance to really expand but lost an 8v5. Now I understand that the chances of that happening are about 5%... maybe this was that one time in 20 that this was to happen to me. Then I built a stack back up and started moving again, won my first roll as a 6vSomething, then lost the second one 5v1. Now the odds of my rolling all 1s while somebody else rolls a 5 or 6 is less than 1%. Must be random. Then I have one territory left, as I build it up, (I'm up to seven), I get attacked with a four stack. And Lose. If it was just me having this problem I think things wouldn't be so bad but if strategy has to change to try to figure out which way the dice are loaded, the game definitly loses the joy it used to bring us orphans.

These rolls are all from the same game that vvp317 is talking about.

8v5 - lose
3v1 - lose
5v3 - lose
4v2 - lose
5v4 - lose
4v3 - lose
5v1 - lose
3v2 - lose
4v6 - win (it was a 6 not a 7 that vvp317 had)
2v3 - win
2v5 - win
