Basics on 0 Tables.

Now heres a pretty basic one alot of kdice-players miss often and i see them to fail that alot every month.

When you are at 0 Score the only positions that matter to you with the current scoring(and if you're not to orthodox about your ppg) 1st,2nd and 3rd.
You ask why? this is simply because you can't drop below 0 points where you are already. So it doesnt matter if you _would_ lose 60 42 30 or 0 points you simply stay at 0.

So one of the things i do when I'm at 0 score (which happens at least once a month) i flag out (make sure you flag for last and not 2nd last) really early when the map shows me i got no good shot at 1st or 2nd.
Sure people at 0 table may play weird and you might get from 5th to 3rd with some luck, but too me its just not worth the time you gotta wait for that few points.

So if you're at 0 score flag for last early and often you got nothing to lose and you even speed things up for the rest of players.

Dear Willy, thnak you so much for your posting - this is super helpful !

It took me a long while to understand this, but the zero tables are perhaps the most important tables in this game... Why ?

1 )Because everyone starts there, such learning the gameplay and style by trial and error (the usual rough way - or better : being coached by a friend in a much quicker and more benefitial situation) - therefore I believe it is a good idea for better players spending some time there coaching those who seemingly have misconcepts - once being convinced by wrong ideas it is difficult to shift the mind ... many beginners ar thankful for advice, no kidding, and if it only be telling them where to find what info..

2) and morever besides tourneys these are the tables where most points are being generated for the whole monthly competition and eventually 'carried up' to the higher tables... - because only here one can lose more than the entry (min = 0) and yet only getting down to zero pts...

3) in this sense MW`s thread is so important to understand

- because if you have 0 points to start with, it makes no sense to screw another player who already has a considerable amount of points and is about ready to move up to 100 or 500 tables .... just in order to reach any postion yourself worse than 3 (merely 10 pts) or possibly even 2nd ... my preferred solution would be that of being nice, perhaps giving and making friends instead of a fierce battle for nothing but pains and tears

4) I have seen good players including my own main account getting stuck on zero tables for hours and even days - because quite a few other players do not understand this important function or are not able to deal with a bad ppg / ranking...

5) Another important positive thing I would like to mention is that many players hanging around zero tables have a strong sense of honour and pride (unlike the point whoreing that occassionally happens on 500 tables and above....) - so despite of playing all tables up to 5 k - I still very much enjoy the zero ones occasionally, believe me or not, they cause the least headache !
