We all know that sometimes you can get killed before even having a turn. my idea is this:
Anybody killed before the end of round x exits the game with their rank being unaffected. For the remaining players, rank would be calculated as if these early eliminated players had not been in the match. x could be somewhere between 1 and 5 rounds. thoughts? |

at 2:09 PM, Monday December 11, 2006 EST i dont like the idea cause veryone gets killed in first round eventually those seldom events should not lead to changes in gameplay that some weirdos misuse for strange tactics.

at 2:14 PM, Monday December 11, 2006 EST I agree with Measure, but I think it should be for the first round, only. Otherwise, people could take huge gambles on their 1-5 rounds and not be affected when they lose their gamble.

Sometimes, you (plural) get screwed. Deal with it. |

I don't see how it can be exploited that way. |

at 2:27 PM, Monday December 11, 2006 EST That would make my work a bit easier, huh? Someone's gotta let Ryan kknow he doesn't have to do all these things they ask of him, no?
Which brings me to the point, Why max? It's not like it puts anyone at a disadvantage the way it is. It's just a feel-good measure, and a waste of time to program. Not to mention it would make things worse for the player that wins, who goes from beating 6 people to beating 5 or 4. and it means you get one turn, then you get eliminated the second round. Would that make you happier? Personally, if I'm going out, get it over with, there's other tables to play at. |

I have never been eliminated on the first round. On the second round yes, but on the first I am often rendered down to 1 or 2 spaces with 1 or 2 blocks (this is in a bad start condition). |

at 9:56 PM, Monday December 11, 2006 EST I agree that this is part of the game.
We could add lots of rules that try to account for bad luck... and good luck too. If we made a rule like this you could also have an argument for putting a handicap on someone that gets a really good starting placement. I think a good aspect of the game is its randomness and how well you handle it. Its fun doing the best you can in a bad situation. |

at 6:44 AM, Tuesday December 12, 2006 EST If a rule like this were introduced, I would make sure to hold off eliminating someone until it counted against their score and for mine.
As would we all, right? |
