FIrst let me say, i have always liked rastaa. But his introduction of Squirt Pants to the game has really changed my opinion of him. 3rd game in a row of this nonsense.

at 11:11 AM, Monday May 23, 2016 EDT I'm pretty confident with my decision making. I've had some discussions with others on both the team and people familiar with statistics and it's actually easier for me to simply say this:
* Rastaa and squirt pants received specific warnings before I took todays action. The PGA was blatant and prolonged. On this basis, the -play bans apply until July 1 (about 38 days). * Timer was not prewarned and I took action based solely of games I silently watched (logged out) plus his most current game replays. The PGA activity was pretty damn obvious. Timer protests his innocence. Based on the differing circumstances, his ban ends on June 1 (8 days). ** The bans apply to alts as well as the main. Circumventing the bans will result in the ban length being extended by 1 month. ** The bans are final and firm. After some discussions, I'm comfortable with my decisions. I will not be reversing the bans prior to the ban expiry. Finally: All three players are in the top 15. I will speak with the team about how to deal with this scenario, but ill gotten trophies aren't worth the pixels they're printed on. No decisions has been made with regards to docking or resetting of points as yet and there's no solid precedent on when this happens. Sometimes, there's technical or people reasons we can't (Ryan being away, Opossums near the server keyboard etc). [End]. |

didn't see any of the games but Pursey is old and wis... well old enough to make the right call :D I took a bit of time off from kdice because of work and because I lost a bit of motivation to help keep this ship afloat but good to see action being taken when needed apparently shame on you banned guys! |

at 12:03 PM, Monday May 23, 2016 EDT Thanks Dug.
I guess a lot of players see it similar. For example Dave (he's probably the main reason why Rasta and Squirt got banned). He clearly said that he doesn't sit with both of them at the same table. I wasn't involved at all. I just know my chances and try to get the best position possible every single game. I don't really know why I got banned so I can just suggest. Just because 1 or 2 people are not satisfied that they can't reck up any points with good players at the table doesn't mean that there's something cooking. I used to PGA a lot with GodAlmighty if you remember him but what I do with players like Rasta or Squirt Pants (altho I only played with Squirt for like 5 games or so lol) is not comparable to what I'm doing now. Some people just don't like trucing in general or they don't understand it. How am I supposed to work together with these players? It's just not possible. Trucing is a core element of 5ks, at least for the players who have the drive to win. Whether it is 5 players 6 players or 7 players, it doesn't matter. Truces happen almost every game because the superior players don't want to fight for 3rd or 4th. so they team up to eliminate the bigger ones. I never protected anyone to get them into a better position or anything like that. If I truce someone 2 times in a row completely legitimate am I not allowed to do it a 3rd if the scenario is perfect? Although I don't think that I truced someone 3 times in a row anyway. So, PGA means PreGameAlly. My truces (almost) never happen in round 1 or 2. They happen midgame most of the time and I exert trucing to play for 1st, nothing else. If you play like 20 games in one day you'll most likely play with the same players over and over again, means you'll truce specific people more often. I'm not here to teach people who I don't like nor will I spare them. So if it's 3 players left and me and 'my partner' both have 5 islands while the random guy in first has 10, we obviously won't fight for a 2nd with dom. It's as simple as that. If me and someone else are both at 5 islands and 'my partner' has 10 I WILL OBVIOUSLY TRUCE AGAINST HIM, WITHOUT A DOUBT! That's how this game works. You gotta take your chances. You could refer to one game where I truced Rasta in Round 2 or sth (the last game that I played before I got banned). It was a weak truce and I also announced it in chat, the other players could've easily countered that. This only happened because we have the same pge so why would we not hunt the pge down before we fight each other. Should I hand my pge a win? No thanks. If there was someone else in Rastas position I also would've tried to truce the guy. What do people expect? If someone continuously fucks me over I'll pge him no matter what and I will always try to truce against him, it's not dependant on who my neighbour is. You try to reach your goals without relying on specific people to help you. That's how I play the game. If it's been a PGA people would've spotted it and countered me and Rasta immediatly every game - just like people did it with me and GodAlmighty back in November. There are always some players who don't understand the 5k playstyle and cry about too much PGAs. TRUCING =|= PGA Another main argument for me PGAing could be that I earned around 45k points just today. It really is typical for me to gain points that quickly if I'm lucky, not being cocky. Feel free to go through my history. I started playing on the 8th or 9th of May this month and got to 100k in 3 days. My average was above 30k a day. Guess who wasn't playing. Neither rasta nor squirty pants. Some players have the ability to gain points that quickly, some don't. My playstyle is unique and original. I've played the whole month like today so you should've banned me much earlier if you truly think that it's against the rules. Ask anyone. The people at 5ks, the people who are trying for gold, no one complains about me. Yea, I sometimes play like a bitch but who doesn't. Feel free to show me some replays where I systematically PGA'd so I can defend myself. completely off-topic: Pursey do you remember who told you that squirt pants is running around with a picture of Hitler as his avatar? That was me. Why would I get a friend of mine banned? That's just off topic though. I hope that I'll get a significant reply. Thanks. |

at 12:06 PM, Monday May 23, 2016 EDT Just seen that the ban is the final decision. Ridiculous imo as you didn't even show me any proof for a 'systematic PGA'. But you guys know how to make this website even more dead.

at 12:12 PM, Monday May 23, 2016 EDT I still didn't see any proof of me systematically PGAing, you promised me that. I just want to understand why I get banned, I didn't do anything against the rules. Proof the opposite.
