For someone who bangs on about being a fair player, it will always be a badge of your hypocrisy.

at 9:15 AM, Saturday June 1, 2013 EDT OK, another example why you can never completely trust a story without hard evidence.
Even if it's true (OS7's last 5k win looks like a pretty obvious funnel), there's usually another side to the story. LTL's last 5k win might have been a funnel as well. Kane, I really wished you'd just say ok, my game was a funnel without linking it to the other game but oh well, I think it somehow was admitted so thx. I can't fix much anymore anyway and maybe it doesn't need fixing cuz if the other game was a funnel too, I guess this was the expected outcome for gold. This is why I prefer months where the gap between 1 2 and 3 is huge so no one is tempted to pull off some crap in order to win a meaningless png. Tbh, I expected this to be a quiet month because the gap seemed so big. Hern should have sat on 130k, props for playing but that's the risk. Something I didn't mention before to keep my post a bit shorter (but this post is gonna be fucked up anyway so). Gratz to OS but the "oh I didn't want gold and ltl deserved it" is bullshit. If you care to stay up till 6 AM in the morning and play until the very end, sure you wanted gold. Nothing wrong with wanting gold (this is not an attack on you OS), just no BS about it. OK, back to the essence. Either I ban a whole bunch of people based on a lot of one sided stories, or I ban nothing. To be honest, some probably deserve a ban, just out of principle. Me not banning doesn't mean, funnelling is OK now. If I had seen one game and felt it was a funnel, this was a ban, regardless of the similar stuff that happened before. Funnels or pga just shouldn't happen. period. and actually it's more of everyone's individual responsibility than it is the mod's responsibility (unless we had game replays). I think almost everyone realises the site is slowly going down with the shrinking player pool. Early flags or weakflags, games that rely more on chat than on the actual table, BS 1 2 truces, fake counters, endless discussing or endless fighting over a few points difference, screwing newbs at higher tables, lame tourneystratting, passive games where everyone is scared to hit their otf's, funnels like this, ... There's not one single thing responsible for the slow downfall (and most things are out of our hands, cough Ryan) but everyone should just ask themselves if this is the game they want or not. The entire community creates the general play style. You guys can change it and stop accepting or doing certain things. So basically, everyone should be playing as they would want others to play against them. I'm not a saint but it's not hard to play with some fair play attitude. good luck in June everyone |

at 9:22 AM, Saturday June 1, 2013 EDT Slightly off topic: I don't have the coding skills but I really wished some of the talented coders on kdice would sit together and try and create a very basic game save and replay tool.
I've tried leaving my PC on with the video recorder running on the last night of the month but even on the lowest possible settings, the files just grow out of proportion. Contributor badges would be awarded ofc and I think some people would even be prepared to donate a few $ to make a small pot to reward the creators. |

But anyway I agree with most |

at 11:50 AM, Saturday June 1, 2013 EDT Yeah, I saw you congratulate ltl before the last 2 tournaments started.
I don't think you were kidding at that time or that you had a big plan to scheme into gold later. I figure you joined while thinking "I'll see how close I end up later" I play my worst games when I have points or a medal in mind. In fact, the only times I ever stabbed was to get a medal. It's the main reason why I never wanted to try for podium, in a way it corrupts your playstyle. And I agree about the newbies. It's not like they can't be punished for not being as good as the regulars but sometimes it's sad to see how much they get screwed for a few 100 points. 2 main reasons imo for people leaving: ppl being disgusted by other people's behavior and ppl leaving out of boredom (nothing new being added, or they grow up and get a life etc) |

at 12:19 PM, Saturday June 1, 2013 EDT power corrupts yeah. Thats one of the main reasons I never usually sit at the top tables, because I cant be fussed with all the scheming, manipulation and diplomacy that goes on there. Ive lost count of the amount of times ive told 'nooby' players not to sit at 2k tables because their chances are far less than 1 in 7.
Consequently I get labeled as a 'pussy' and there will be a lot of people that resent me winning without being a regular top table player. But there are too many people there that have lost sight of the fact there are human beings on the other end of their insults and devious play. The pro circle is too inclusive and tight and its only getting worse imo. Noobs run scared of the top tables because they simply cant win them for a variety of reasons, or because they dont feel welcome |

I manipulated Dabee into doing my dirty work. Anyway, have you seen top 3 last month? I've never seen members abused so much before. Jack deserved gold. gt |

at 6:05 PM, Saturday June 1, 2013 EDT What a typical long winded explanation from BDK. Always justified in whatever horse shit he does.
Riddle me this: how often do you see a 5k game where the guy in first, with 50% of the board ENCOURAGES people who want to roll (yes, teal and green and red were all happy to roll to get a new game in) to fight through you and take all your dom? Moreover, how often does the guy in first flag out in fourth without complaint? Obviously you flagged out because green was killing OS7 and you didn't want purple to get the win. If you saw it Jurgen, and it looked (and was) the most blatant funnel you have ever seen then do something about it. Such obvious cheating from two players who always bang on about fairness. |
