PPG Challenge:
* Play at least 150 games in September. * Place in the Top 100. * Have the highest PPG at the end of the month (which will be checked at 11.30pm on September 30) out of participants in the challenge. * You must opt in to the challenge to be considered. Post "In, PPG" or similar to be considered. * No dodgy crap. If you think I'm not going to like your method of circumventing the spirit of the challenge then just ask me in chat or in the thread. * Pursey and Dugong are disqualified. I'm the sole judge of the competition. * If there's a PPG tie, then it will be won by whoever has the highest games played out of the two winners. * 12 months membership on offer. (Or, $30 cash if you already have membership). Thanks to @Pink_Taco831 who suggested this one. Carrie gets membership for not ignoring the thread and contributing. (Throw me a message and I'll fix it up when you're ready). |

at 8:28 AM, Monday September 3, 2012 EDT people preventing kills/killing more often is the whole reason it would be fun
Change the game play up if you're gonna spend 30$ not just have people play normally and be like, "oh hey, looks like I win 30$" |

at 4:10 PM, Monday September 3, 2012 EDT sorry haven't checked in for awhile... just a reminder that PPG is unfairly biased towards members. if a member and non-member played the EXACT same number games with the EXACT same results, the member will ALWAYS have a higher PPG since the member starts out at 2500 points. the only way for a nonmember to start on even ground is to play freerolls and other small tourneys until he/she has gained over 2500 pts.
anyways, i still like the idea of penalizing point whores. so i say reward whomever has the highest negative PPG for the month, averaged on a per-day basis. so in order to keep this number highly negative, the person must be gaining a lot of tourney points, then throwing them all away on regular tables. i really love transferring points from members to nonmembers, if you couldnt tell. actually, if you wanted to be fair about the PPG contests, you would have two winners: a member, and a non-member. split the prize. |

Are you sure that members always have a higher PPG? PPG is calculated from the score at the end of the game from the score at the beginning of the game. When I was a member, I was very good at negative PPG. |

at 7:08 PM, Monday September 3, 2012 EDT It's easier for members to have a higher ppg given they win more often than lose because they do not have to play low level tables.
