What is the problem with sharing accounts after all?

You can get more games played with one account and thus gather more points and get a higher rank. Big deal - you need a lack of life to get the number of games and points to get colored medals already. This won't hurt the majority of the players at all as they don't have a chance at top 25 now. The minority battling for the top 25 will be the ones that do the most sharing and teamworking (or do it already). I see no problem.

You could use several accounts at the same time and thus funnel points. Game rule 2 does not allow to play several accounts at one time, may they be shared or not. No new problem - only that you might be cheating this way already if you got several IPs.

You can't rely on an account memorising you and playing like it used to do. The few rules say "game to game favors are not allowed", so there is no problem with that according to the rules. BTW, PGE is legal and using several accounts at different times to enact it seems not to violate any rules unless you consider PGE a favor with a negative prefix.

Announcing the sharing here changes nothing for the majority of the players. If an account is shared by murti, longhair and lastmurti this will not tell the average player that this is the same person. The permanent addict nows already or will find out soon. Would you say your account (and all your alts) that share a new account? I bet nobody would like that. Or would you use your real name - that would provide no information.

Just my few thoughts on this. I don't really see a problem with sharing except for top ranks and those don't bother the majority.

I'm not a mod, but I still maintain that sharing at all, even "for fun" is a bad idea. It creates confusion, and it is ASKING to be abused, as has been clear in the past.

The only reason sharing was ever a "bad idea" is because Thraxle thought it was unfair for people competing for gold.

I'm pretty sure a player that can only get white medals shouldn't be concerned about the issue.
