I tried to give you one last chance but it looks like you will never change, so permaban it is again.

It has nothing to do with a grudge or whatever, you are just bad for this site and you keep doing the same crap over and over.

I will ban any account that I see from you and other mods are free to do so as well.

To the few players that will stick up for veta: I 'm sorry but hundreds of other people who don't always speak up or read the forum will be happy that I enforce the permaban again. Veta is a master manipulator and cheater and even though I agree that he sometimes spices up Kdice, Kdice is better off without him in so many ways.

So whatever he starts doing now, I will ignore it. It will be lies from a cat trapped in a corner.

So Veta, if your life outside of Kdice is really as great as you make it sound, all the best there. You said you were going to quit KDice after last month anyway because everyone was against you but I guess that was just another lie you told me to try and get me to lift the permaban.

now i fully agree that the zero tolerance for sharing is complete BS, only it was a good black and white way to draw the line. the fact that other mods don't really care about modding and only want to hand out contributor badges and play mr cool mod is not my problem. but yeah I'm tired of enforcing something I don't believe in myself but that has been installed long before I became mod. I'm sure you also know the irony behind the no sharing policy. I want to install a more logic rule list concerning sharing, I'm going to make a forum post one of the following days

on second thought, I'm not even going to ask Ryan, it's only going to create more problems (who knows who Thraxle would pick :P)

I'm starting to think that Kdice needs no modding at all anyway, well more like: with the current mod tools, it's impossible to do a good job

--You're a hypocrite and you only banned me because skyler was so butthurt she lost a free roll tournament. I'm an easy scapegoat. I get it. You demonized me so you can get away with banning me but you couldn't do the same to kostur or gurgi. You're the death of kdice jurgen and if warsocial gives you any sort of significant role there you will be the death of them too. I hope they have better sense than that (judging as how you leekstepped them into giving you some honorary title i hope they saw you trying to make a power play and just appeased you with a do nothing position).

I'm not saying you directly caused kdice to die but if I were to pull up a graph of kdice population (say like this one):
http://traffic.alexa.com/graph?w=400&h=220&o=f&c=1&y=r&b=ffffff&n=666666&r=2y&u=kdice.com&;

I think you'd see the marked decrease in players since you took over Rob's mantle. I don't know how they do it in socialist Europe but in America they actually tell you what you're being convicted for - you won't say so I can only assume it's because I wasn't nice to your cyber buddy skyler. Who by the way asked me to PGA her over AIM regularly while on the other hand she was best buds with you - seems like the only manipulation being pulled here has been on you.

But I'm not a manipulator, my intentions are always clear and my advice is always solid. Jurgen I hope you grow up and I hope you figure out banning me or anyone on this site is a lost cause - you're just killing the little population that's left.

You also lack the ability to ever check your ego and not get ridiculously butt hurt when anyone gives you shit Veta. Fair or not you always ramp up the rhetoric forcing people to take harsher and harsher stances with you.

That said I know nothing about this latest month and my commentary is mostly in regards to your post preceding mine.

This pretty much is the definition of overenforcement IMO. My 2 cents.

That's fair Sam, but here's why I was banned: Skyler was butthurt that she got pge'd out of the freeroll - she kept accusing kostur me and gurgi of pgaing and then once she killed kostur she accused me and gurgi of pgaing despite me playing much more favorably to dugong (pursey) until he was eliminated. Then while she's fuming and alleging that me and gurgi are just going to pga and truce against her for the rest of the game I told her very calmly that neither me or gurgi are going to want to truce some that is alleging we are cheating and that ultimately antagonizing both of us will lead to her losing the tournament (prophecy was fulfilled). Jurgen watched this tournament in its entirety and if he felt foul play was afoot I imagine he would have banned then.

Skyler isn't having any of this and so she continues to berate me - I may not have the sharpest tongue but it's enough to hurt an insecure girl on the internet so I basically laid out her actions and explain how she was sort of being a bitch when I wasn't even the one PGEing her (kostur and gurgi were). I know you don't give a shit about the particulars but what I'm build up to is this:

Skyler and Jurgen are good friends, Jurgen warned me on facebook that I'm on thin ice but he wants to let bygones be bygones to which I agreed. Skyler (the following day) told Jurgen that if he didn't ban me she was going to quit KDice forever. That night I was banned. I'm not a detective but it doesn't take impressive skills of deduction to deduce no real cheating has gone on and Jurgen just chose Skyler over me rather than being unbiased and uninvolved in something he should not have been involved in as a moderator's capacity.

I didn't mean to ramp up the rhetoric but this is somewhat in response to an ultimatum received from jurgen on facebook.

Bit of a ramble but that's the gist of what happened here. Congrats Skyler you weren't kidding, Jurgen is indeed in your pocket.

I am so glad I never rose to the mod bait. I would be the most unpopular mod ever.

PGA-ing would be instaban offences, always, for as many folks as I could catch. I would also lobby heavily to restrict or ban multi's. It's stupid the amount of multi's some folks have. And a ban on an account would go for every multi I could find.

While I can see that Jurgen has gotten a bit ...different with his modding in the last 2 years, the fact that he is still trying is a good thing. It's tough to be the only honest cop in a crooked town, I'm sure.

I agree with gurgi. There really isnt cheating nowadays. For cheating, go on youtube and watch the integral video.

But this isnt that.

Certainly, at higher tables, theres a social aspect of the game. I don't think anyone would deny that. But if that doesnt suit you, go play dicewars with computer AI imo.

Well, I'm trying to play and pay attention to see what the situation is now.

I never had a problem with the social aspect of the game. Diplomacy is the extension of war by other means, to twist a phrase up a bit.

But that same social aspect also leads to situations with OTF's and PGA's that make it difficult to truly get into the game past a certain point, imo.

What people need to understand is that there is a difference between PGA, PGA that is thinly veiled by trucing the same person(s) every game, and trucing every game.

I think the first camp is pretty self evident and gets recognized relatively easily after only a few matches. The second takes more than a few matches but it too is easy to spot to the well trained eye (well trained meaning anyone familiar with 2k/5k play). And the last camp is a little more trick so I'll break it down further into two types of trucing.

If you are a legitimate player there is a difference between only trucing players you know and trust (OTF) and not trucing particular players because you don't know or like them. This is a very important distinction and often times is what is perceived to be the injustice or "PGA OMG" of 2k/5k games. Generally speaking everyone who regularly plays 2k/5k is already OTF with everyone else - if you play regularly you're going to have a reputation and therefore people are going to know how to deal with you (how good you are at dealing with people is a skill in it of itself but that's another discussion). If somebody doesn't particularly like you because you didn't read the board or recognize their plays for you, or you just disregarded them, then they probably will be less likely to trust and/or truce you. If you are new and you have no repertoire with the majority of the table you're likely going to get squeezed out as well - unless you make it very clear you understand what's going on and that you indeed merit your adjacent players' trust.

Gurgi is right when he says PGA hasn't really existed since Thraxle became a mod - there may be some very weak PGA between two players but it's practically indistinguishable from OTF pay and may as well just be OTF play for all intents and purposes. If you see two players being particularly chummy it doesn't matter if they're best buddies (see: happy & crystal 2010) or if they're chatting on facebook during the game - you need to counter them or join them. This is the current state of the game and PGA as it existed in 2009 or 2007 no longer and can no longer effectively net you points. Only mastering the social dynamics of 2k/5k (or paying ryan real life money for member tournaments) will get you points.
