at 11:11 AM, Thursday March 8, 2012 EST Olajuwon was an outstanding interior defender and he could score both in the paint and in the mid-range. He could also make his free throws. Don't get me wrong, I love Shaq, but I'd rather have a center that isn't as one-dimensional.
Bird, Magic, and Lebron playing alongside MJ would be magfuckingnificent. Three of the smartest, most unselfish players EVER feeding the rock to the greatest scorer of all time. As far as basketball IQ goes, this team is second to none. If I had to name a second team it would look something like this: C Shaquille O'neal PF Kevin Garnett SF Dirk Nowitzki SG Kobe Bryant PG Oscar Robertson Shaq and KG's interior defense would be BEAST and Dirk and Kobe could create shots ad infinitum. Couple that with the Big O creating at the point and I've got a pretty scary second team on both ends of the floor. |

at 11:14 AM, Thursday March 8, 2012 EST p.s., I know I'm dissing pretty much everyone pre-1980's other than Oscar Robertson, but I honestly don't think Wilt or Bill would have been anywhere near as dominant in the current era of athleticism. Same goes for guys like Jerry West and John Havlicek. Guys like Gervin and Dr. J could hang, but I can't place them ahead of any of the players on my two lists.

C Mark Eaton PF Dirk Nowitzki SF Larry Bird SG Jerry West PG Steve Nash Basically I need Eaton to play some defense because not many other people will on this team. But man can these boys shoot! |
