This is probably very true. However it doesn't mean I, or you as a mod, should ignore the other 10%. They are completely separate issues and I didn't make a thread to discuss my diplomacy skills, I made a thread to report cheating.

ignore the source u wetbrain and look at what happened. if u have some valid reason why this is not cheating fine. lets hear it.

Keeley, I'm telling you I WILL investigate those 10%. Always, regardless of how you behave. But you will not be helping yourself if you add "this will be dismissed anyway".

I've had cheaters that I banned before report cheating to me and I always look at it in an unbiassed way. So if you got something worth banning it will be banned. But no guarantees. And you must respect my own opinion. I'm far from perfect and I will certainly miss pga here and there and I will even have made wrong calls in banning when it wasn't pga. But I won't ban unless I am convinced enough.

So if I tell you I won't ban it, it's not because YOU reported, it wil be because I think it was clear enough.

The moment, Ryan codes game replay options, I will be much more comfortable when deciding based on pga reports. Right now, we don't have that, so I am very carefull with banning things that I didn't see.

cutekittens has been going for dom in the past so when boogy suggested to kill you, he only had to fear you for that decission so why would he not do it for dom? the other 2 were clearly not going to intervene so easy dom for him.

I posted a screenshot and background info of a situation I think falls clearly within that 10%. I would be interested in hearing why you agree or disagree.

Your approach to these situations is always like you are the defense lawyer for an accused murderer trying to come up with any plausible scenario you can to convince the jury there is reasonable doubt.

While I grant you that approach probably saves you from wrongly banning some people, you are turning a blind-eye to all sorts of shady play/soft-cheating.

The problem is, everybody knows that you do this. So you are effectively communicating to the community that cheating is ok so long as you can come up with a plausible reason for your actions other than cheating.

Hypothetical situation, that happens constantly:

There are three people left, one noob and one friend. The noob flags me and the friend says 'hey i wanted to 1/2' so I tell the noob, sorry we sorta silent truced anyway, ur dead.

Thats fucking cheating!

But if the noob said anything I would just play the 'sorta silent truced' card and it would pass the jurgen smell test and nobody could prove anything.

That is exactly how everybody cheats now!

and fwiw I never favor the friend over the noob in this spot - but most high volume players do, and its the exact situation this thread is about. If it were reversed, killkittens would never have killed boobybites (and in my example I would never truce w/ the noob) - and that fact makes it cheating. it's essentially a game-to-game favor.

record a game every once in a while so people can point out to you where the truces and silent truces happen so you can learn something instead of assuming that it's cheating all the time, or so that someone can see the cheating. one screenshot doesn't cut it.
