and last i checked, paul isnt a huge supporter of reagan. or bush. or obama. hes batshit crazy old uncle paul, as he has been for the last 30 years, going against everything washington has been doing with increasing budget endlessly and making govt spend more and more recklessly, whether repub controlled or dem controlled.

If you are a proponent of ideals, you should never vote. Voting is an attempt to impose your will on someone else by force. So if you lose, you shouldn't complain if somebody else's ideals get imposed on you. Unless your ideal is imposing will by force. In that case, you are just permorming according to your ideals and you win even if you lose.

skrum i believe that God has allowed me to be in a country that is democratic (republic?). therefore it is my duty to vote otherwise i am yielding the responsibility given to me by God.

i also agree with you about what jesus said about God being the one who is truly in charge of rulers, so when someone i disapprove of (say, obama) gets elected, i dont get all pissy and say im moving to europe. i accept his authority, because i believe it is God-given.

The fact that God delegates authority indicates that he runs a universe with multifinality. Which might create a problem for people with ideals that do not encompass multifinality.

or the fact that God runs a universe that has a random nature to some extent (see: quantum), that is a hard one to swallow for some christians. but i digress....

god-given authority - what a bullshit. it implies that god was actually in charge of the holocaust and not hitler. i can understand how kings and dictators like that concept, but as a persons who believes in democracy it makes no sense.
