do you remember last playoffs when the seahawks got a 7-9 home game against the saints?

ffs, why do i have to keep defending tebow. im not saying he is better than the elite. i just think its shallow to just look at his numbers and judge him that way. quarterbacks are not simply a sum of their statistics, or else bledsoe and jeff george etc would go down as some of the best of all time. they are the leaders of the offense, the leaders of the huddle. look at joe montanas stats. theyre half-decent. but look at how the man commanded his team, how he led, how he inspired. completely different. yet you insist on disregarding this aspect about tebow.

i mean, ffs, he not only gets his offense to believe and achieve above their potential, he gets the defense too! its sick how much harder and more effective denver plays under him than under kyle orton, who according to your arguments is a better qb than tebow.

and the dude is only in his 2nd season, with a full summer of non-coaching due to the lockout. his learning curve is still very steep, and he is progressing throughout the season. just wait until this postseason, when elway gets to teach him more about footwork.

and his attitude is simply amazing. one of the humblest, hardest working qbs in the league.

BACK ON TOPIC: GREEK WELCHES.

I've already defended myself on liking the guy and saying he's a good football player. I'm not going on statistics alone. The guy can't even throw a spiral. Have you seen a slo-mo of one of his passes? It looks like he's throwing it end over end. He may be a good leader, and a great football player, but his shelf life as a QB will be short. Defend him all you want, he's a terribad passer.

Montana was accurate, Tebow is not.

PLEASE DO NOT FUCKING TARNISH THE AMAZING CAREER OF JOE MONTANA BY USING HIS NAME AS A COMPARISON TO ONE OF THE WORST PLAYOFF QBS IN THE HISTORY OF THE NFL.

also, you make tebow's running ability out as a negative as a qb? that is a HUGE positive, as it forces the the defense to account for it, as opposed to someone, say, grossman or sanchez, who the defense can safely assume is not a threat to just tuck the ball and run for yardage.

i will stop comparing him to montana (not his throwing ability, but his leadership, ffs re-read what i typed), if you stop comparing him to grosschez.

you keep on ranting about how he has 5 seconds every snap. well apparently kyle orton played with the exact same crew of people, and look what his magical ability to throw an accurate spiral did. jacksquat.

I didn't say it was a negative, but how many running QB's have won titles in the NFL? By running QB I mean that their biggest threat was with their legs. Let's list some of the more notable ones:

Cunningham
Vick

(end of list)

Both of those gentlemen ran better than Tebow and both of them are better passers than Tebow (even Vick FFS). Steve Young comes to mind too, but his biggest asset was his accurate arm, which Tebow doesn't possess.

Now, who many titles have Vick and Cunningham won?

And you think Tebow is even close to as good as either of them?

Nigga pleez.

By the way, as I've stated before my only problem with Tebow is that people are giving him far too much credit for Denver's play. If people would stop trying to deify one person and realize that football is the ultimate team sport then I'd stop arguing. But if people insist on making out Tebow to be the Second Coming I'll continue to call bullshit on them.

i totally agree thrax. denver is winning despite kyle orton. oh wait.

i understand you being upset that people are giving him too much credit, but the proper reaction is to remain sober about him, not to go batshit crazy the other way and call him one of the worst QBs in the league. he clearly is better than a lot of other QBs.

I disagree. I honestly think, in time, everyone will realize that he can't consistently QB a team. Winning off will alone only lasts so long. Eventually you need skill and I'm sorry to say, he's lacking in that category. I go batshit crazy anytime someone gets supremely overrated. It's my MO.
