Question for everyone that is potentially related to this thread...

Has anyone recently become infected with the XP Antivirus malware bug?

I did right after logging onto kdice on Saturday morning. After hours of research and fucking around with possible solutions, I finally got the damn bug off my system.

This malware makes you believe that your PC has been seriously infected and gives you all these bullshit fear enducing windows of bullshit. All in an attempt to sell you the software to remove the virus.

The bug is relatively harmless, but it prevents you from accessing the net & opening executable files.

So anyway, if anyone has had a similar experience in the past few days, let me know.

I know how to cure it without hiring Geek Squad.

Is that for real Bammbi? or can anyone vouch for something similar happening?

I have seen some weird very convenient lags for people from time to time lately and I've mentioned that to Ryan but this is the first time I saw that.

Did others at the table see or get it too?

Who did it benefit most?

Yes it is for real.

It's happened quite a few times actually. And yes I get those "convenient" lags too where someone gets angry with me then suddenly I'm frozen out of my turn.

First off; "KGameService_Proxy.attack" sounds like a function in Ryan's code; rather then a hacker attack. I'm sure Ryan needs some sort of connection between the front end client and the back end servers.

Sounds like you attempted to attack someone on your turn. It failed for some reason on the server side and your turn was ended.

The error details were displayed to the screen as is common. (probably red text; right?)

More than likely it was probably just a bug; or a job crashed or something.

I like your conspiracy theories though :p

And btw; the fact that you lag out on your turn is just a cognitive bias.

Much the same way; it appears that all 4v3's or 7v8's lose.

quite a lot of 7 vs 8s lose.

4 vs 3s don't always lose. What makes you think that?

I meant; 8v7's not 7v8's

It doesn't seem to me that 8 vs 7 and 4 vs 3 usually lose. It's the opposite. I don't get it.
