I understand what you are saying.

Like I said; we will see what happens.

Besides the fact that I think a Paul victory in Iowa could help to catalyze the cannibalization of the GOP that is so desperately needed, it also might make Iowa irrelevant in the future which is also a net positive for our country.

Apparently Ben Franklin was asked on the street... what have we got a republic or a monarchy ? A republic replied the Doctor.... if you can keep it.

so the story goes I'm told. And that's really my point in all this, which Veta seems to understand. Until the nature of the beast is gutted the individual elected to the executive branch won't change much. It's impossible. Assume that hypothetically the "right person" exists and indeed was elected, he goes in and actually manages to clean house. An unreasonable proposition, but, let's say this actually happens. Rest assured in no time flat the entire power structure would re adapt and re subjugate the entire map all over again. It's simple math.

IN THEORY... Congressional Lawmakers are elected in the name of representing his or her constituency. The problem is, for any of this to function effectively you would need a voting population capable of understanding and deciphering how the voting record of their representative affects them both domestically and abroad while waving an iron hand of oversight over their own elected officials allowing the voting constituency to either reign in or turf the motherfuckers at will. The gumm'int should duly phear the people and well, they kinda do, but only in the form of mob rule, as opposed to sound unwavering due diligent oversight from its people which as it stands doesn't exist. and until it does, well... same old same old.

As an add on there's the international stage gone completely out of hand to consider. If the two largest air forces in the world were to go at war with each other you'd have..a) The US Airforce (the largest) up against... b)the US Navy (second largest). This is insane. However, global posturing is such that scaling much of it back spells disaster for the current infrastructure, which isn't anywhere near as stable as the the soccer mom obliviously purchasing OJ at Walmart is naive enough to believe. Administrations around the global fully understand the implications of instability and how quickly the shelves would empty especially in the American urban centers should it be rattled a tad too heavily. Estimates suggest that a strong enough disruption in the main ports alone could have it unfold in as little as 4 days. Picture 350 million plus dependent infantile minded minions gone fucking haywire berserk out in the streets.

The shortsightedness (big surprise) of failing to foresee the hazards of relying too heavily on an Oil based infrastructure (already failing) and over centralizing the fuck out of everything else has truly fucked us all in the ass.

bend over ladies... you're about to experience "teh anal love" like never before.
