at 8:50 PM, Monday December 12, 2011 EST These are real traders in a real market with real money. The market has a built-in childproofing: only one of the bonds will pay off. It will pay $1.00. The others pay zero.

at 10:17 PM, Monday December 12, 2011 EST Ron Paul has been underestimated in this race. Gingrich / Romney are both two sides of the same coin. People are waking up.
Ron Paul has a real chance here. 3 weeks to go; that is a political eternity. |

Huntsman is a great fit to beat Obama and represent a 'practical' Conservative leader. Too bad there is still the majority of Americans that do not know his name or what he stands for. And his daughters add a little spice to things as well... Gary Johnson was another one... great conservative Libertarian flair, but not enough people know about him. And I will bet that if Paul does not get the GOP nod, that Paul and Johnson form a competitive Independent ticket... to the effect that Obama stays put. |

at 5:35 PM, Friday December 16, 2011 EST In the Iowa Political Stock Market the sum of Paul, Gingrich, and Romney bonds are now $1.94, up from $1.92 when I posted the figures last. If you short Paul bonds only your worst downside is 18 cents and if you short all three you make $1.94 on your $1.00 investment now without having to wait for the actual outcome of the caucuses.
