The GOP is afraid to attack him and have him run an Independent campaign. That and Newt Gingrich is the current front runner for the Republican nomination, that says so much about the party. Obama was on CBS and laid out his campaign plans: "Sure I haven't lived up to expectations but lets be real, you sure aren't going to elect one of these other clowns are you? That't what I thought."

Well I wouldn't vote for Ron Paul I do hope he forces the Republican party to grow up and stop pandering to the ignorant base, as that would force the Democrats to look hard in the mirror and stop being such pansies about everything. Of course none of this will happen since our government is run by idiots, but a man can dream.

I like how the moderators EVERY FUCKING DEBATE ask paul the israel/palestine/iran question just to try to sway the moronic GOP masses into not voting for him. if they were to ask him more about healthcare and budget, he would destroy everyone consistently. also funny how a lot more of everyone else's answers in those areas are starting to mimic pauls because they realize how popular he's getting based on those stances. except then paul lowers the hammer on them since he has been proclaiming these stances for 30 years while the imitative have been proclaiming them for 30 days.

I love it, I honestly think he has a legit shot at winning the primary. no way does newt not fuck up his lead.

+1 what monte said.

Ron Paul would be a blessing to our country.

Fuck everyone else they are all traitors to the people and to the constitution which they swore to observe and protect.

love how paul nailed him on the $1m+ he got paid for consulting fees from freddie mac, which was bailed out by OUR MONEY. man, that made newt squirm. lol @ newt trying to spin it as 'private sector' job crap.

that one question from yahoo was fuckin amazing tho, where the dude was like, when is the last time you and your family went through a hard time, and had to cut back your budget for the year, and what did you cut. absolutely no one answered the question, they all dodged it, because none of them could relate to the typical american family situation of today. "oh i can relate, my neighbor went through that. oh i can relate, my parents went through that." ummmm, no. that means you cannot relate. paul was the at least slightly connected to reality as his answer revolved around how he is so ancient that he grew up during the depression and ww2, and his family had to give a lot up, but he didnt even realize it because it was such a loving family.

In the Iowa Caucus Market at the Political Stock Market being run by the university of Iowa, Paul bonds are selling at 75 cents, Gingrich bonds at 72 cents, and Romney bonds at 45 cents. For each dollar of real money you put into this market you get a packet of bonds including one Paul, one Romnney, one Gingrich, etc. and one Rest of Field. When you get your bond packet, short the Paul, Romney, and Gingrich bonds and you will get an expected return of $1.92 for every $1.00 that you put in.

I expect that the Paul traders are irrational traders: they hold Paul bonds because they want him to win. Rational traders will go long or short on a candidate based on their prediction of whether the candidates bond price will go up, not on their personal political preferences.

In markets, money will tend to pass from irrational traders to rational traders.

Short Ron Paul bonds.

let me get this straight: paul is winning a poll, therefore the poll is flawed. sounds like someone needs to childproof these statistics from people who are trying to game the system.

it was interesting to see romney admit that he was jealous of ron pauls fervent support, who stood out in the freezing cold in droves, while no one else got near that support from their backers. im telling you, this guy has a chance, unless you want to stick your head in the ground, and listen to main media polls which have massive selection bias against ron paul. (i.e. we dont use the internet to poll people because then ron paul would destroy everyone... so we will just use landline phone calls, and avoid ron paul support that way... lol)
