at 9:20 AM, Wednesday December 7, 2011 EST ive found that any game i play is much more enjoyable if i destroy my lameass chat box advantages. its why i enjoy 4stack games a lot more: less chat box focus, more epic connects ftw.

at 3:51 PM, Wednesday December 7, 2011 EST Excessive chat has diminishing returns even trending to the negative, I cannot understand how some people haven't grasped that yet. Gurgi would be a good example of someone that is social and can manipulate players with chat and friendship but avoids cluttering the chatbox with paranoid truces and counters. I would of used fiero as an example but then I remembered he just did all his chat over AIM.

at 6:05 PM, Wednesday December 7, 2011 EST I agree with Sam. Chatbox is completely overrated. You use it when you need it; but keep your mouth shut the rest of the time. Excessive talking invites people to attack you.

at 7:08 AM, Thursday December 8, 2011 EST I would kill the game even faster if people couldn't chat about football or other nonsense. So limited characters takes the social part out.
No limit for grey ==> 2nd IP and have an alt do the talking. The idea is nice but the collateral damage would be too high. |

at 8:22 AM, Thursday December 8, 2011 EST excessive chat gets you in trouble only if youre doing it wrong. doesnt have to necessarily be about paranoid truces or counters or flags or w/e. i can excessively chat about whatever social shit, and it usually leads to ppl not attacking me.

at 1:08 PM, Thursday December 8, 2011 EST Monte; you are forgetting something. Noobs aren't the only one playing. If you sit with someone who also understands the power of social game; you will become a target.
I think social game is incredibly powerful; but I think it is more effectively wielded like a sniper rifle; then like a machine gun. You bring much too much attention to yourself by kissing up to noobs while regulars are around. |
