The losses occurring at 2k/5k and the long time it'll take to get there again is one thing that keeps many from going there.
The fact that they have at least 98% loss probability is another. The game is different there and it is very hard to get into that style of gaming (note: I did not say anything about cheating!)
I don't see how a lower 500 limit should solve these issues.

If you all weren't such cocknozzles to players on the 2/5ks they would play them more often. Being a cocknozzle to players is one of my specialties so I know what I am talking about here.

It would force a larger amount of players to learn how to play on a 2k/5k. Sam, I will be less of a cocknozzle (noted!).

I agree the limit should be lowered, but you have to realize that many players avoid the higher tables because of the rampant favor trading and retarded reliance on social dynamics over strategic game play.
