We had this discussion before and the majority of the involved persons decided that the n-word leads to instant, unarguable, most serious punishment as some small parts of the world have rather negative and harsh connotations with this expression. Like many other democratic decissions this is total bullshit of course, but nevertheless it is a democratic decission and as such ought to be respected until you have it changed.

Being German I have some strong feelings about being called a different, shorter n-word. Nobody else cares, guess I am a minority here and political cluelessness (wait, that was correctness there) has not yet learned that much history..., I'll have to stand the shit.

In summary, a certain degree of verbal abuse has to be tolerated in any forum. Both n-words suck for certain societies, both can be survived and in most cases are not worth the effort of reporting and banning. There is extreme cases of course, but don't censor too hard just to catch some idiots (that will create new accounts to continue the shit if they wish).

The effort of reporting and banning was very low in this case since trendz and I were there in the game when when trenz popped out with the word in the game chat.

I don't have a problem with the word, i have a problem with ppl who don't think through what theyre saying and what it implies and what they are saying without actually blatantly saying it

I think it's not about saying nigger or nazi. It's more about the sense it implies. I mean we can't just make like those words didn't exist. Yeah, we can, but that changes shit. And even nigger isn't a bad word (as explained before). Some guys chose that black people would be less and so nigger became a deprecative word. No need to burn every book which contains the word as the n's (those referred by louis) did to forget the other n word. If trendz uses in a hateful way just burn him. And yeah ban those calling germans nazis too. Even I'm getting called nazi just because I'm able to speak german. nigger=ban => nazi=ban or it's discrimination of a minority.

Good one Ovi, I can agree to that. Plus I would like a warning for non-native speakers, as often they don't get the implications.

As an example in younger years I called some guy a "homeboy" in the US as I was unaware of the homosexual connotation (I was trying to insult him though, I confess). It was a good insult, but knowing the American frigidity I would not have used it as he was much bigger and stronger...

I am not speaking of myself as I've been around long enough, but you do get kids from different countries starting to play here (hopefully). A warning should be ok as education is limited in all places.

Ni**er = derogatory word for someone who is being oppressed and perhaps murdered.

Nazi = Someone doing the oppressing and murdering.


As such I would say that the former is worse than that latter as an insult. The former has to do with a race and the latter has to do with national pride.

Either way this site is totally trashed and dead. The real criminals have immunity and it is never going to change unless Ryan sells the site for a sum that is near it's real worth.
