Really, this shit is allowed? i mean it would just be annoying if it was just changing names, but impersonating other players? How is this not against the rules?

at 11:58 AM, Friday November 25, 2011 EST this is so fucking stupid. I hate you adcurtin seriously. You are sucking the fun and freedom out of my life. You will forever be pge'd by me. I will kill you on site.
I don't care if it annoys anyone, its my choice it doesn't break the 2 rules on the site. So unless a 3rd rule is added, I am going to continue doing this freely whenever I have the urge(because really that is how I change it, on an urge basis)and I did cause people would ask me too, so in essence my actions are causing excitement for people that don't find most of thing exciting anymore. So I think what I am doing is overly postive. TL;DR: Eat a dick adcurtin. EOM |

but how about finding the urge to stay away from accounts like DLK? I DO have a personal rule about not immitating or gloryfying notorious accounts that cheated |

at 1:15 PM, Friday November 25, 2011 EST Ok people, come on now. This is not a big deal! Jurgen, I can see that if someone uses it for cheating or something, then fine, take care of that. What Simon is doing is just for fun. It's just entertaining. This site can be so stale sometimes. Who cares if he uses @leekstep or something? It's nostalgic. Leave it alone. Jurgen you do a good job moderating and I know you try to think seriously about issues on here. Let's all not take things too seriously and just have some fun. That's what this site is for after all right?
Simon hasn't done anything offensive. (sorry if this was jumbled, I'm pretty sick, but you get my point) I'm out |

at 7:23 PM, Friday November 25, 2011 EST i see, so it's a new thing and there hasn't been a chance to fix it or to make a rule.
On pretty much any other website or forum, impersonating someone else is against the rules. While it may be fun for some, it's really confusing and can be very annoying to others. If you want to try to impersonate, change your avatar to the same as theirs. Your username should be unique and not changeable. I'm not sure why anyone would think impersonating someone else and changing usernames is a good idea, there's just no reason for it. I could maybe (maybe) see allowing 1 change at the beginning of the month, and forcing it to be unique (e.g. you can't change your name to @adcurtin if adcurtin exists). That would be tolerable, but still a little confusing. jurgen I mostly agree with what you said, and i can see why there isn't a rule yet, but I feel like one should be made. Also, you can consider this an official complaint of people impersonating me, so if you can remove the posts from @adcurtin (which is not me), that would be appreciated. deadcode I feel like that's what this whole site is coming to. It's disappointing. |

at 7:53 PM, Friday November 25, 2011 EST since i'm not sure if it's showing up on your wall or not jrugz, could you please ban adcurtLn (with an L, but it's lowercase). This is not me, and is an obvious impersonation.
however, don't ban adcurtjn, that is me, and was an obvious impersonation that I could think of. I will let you know of any other ones I register as well. I will try to register all of them that I can think of. I also registered / signed in with my twitter account, so hopefully I have @adcurtin on lock down. At this point, since people can't seem to be even remotely mature, I think a report button on a profile is necessary, maybe with checkboxes or a description box for why the person is reported (though I feel like people might report PGAs too much with that and it'd just be a flood, so maybe only reporting other things there). |

at 7:55 PM, Friday November 25, 2011 EST Also, with the anonymity of the internet, I think relying on people to be mature will never work, so anything like this that relies on that needs to be clarified with rules.
