yeah... i was thinking if i give him a QB he will want to give me one back, so i figure a 2-for-2 is the least i can propose. and id rather have fitzpatrick if im giving away stafford (fitz seems like stafford lite, while tebow seems like cam lite).

so then i would want to upgrade at RB. thinking either:

stafford/gore for fitz/rice
stafford/benson for fitz/cj2k

i don't think we're trading with that guy. in the end i sent him my ratings list of both of our RBs and both of our QBs, just so he could understand how i value everyone. he didnt like it, heh.

so, new plan.

this week, both cam and stafford have byes. so we dont have a QB. yahoo still says we will win, without a QB, 93-79.

but id rather have a QB in there just to be safe. we dont really have anyone on our roster i would be comfortable sending to waivers for just a 1-week plugin at QB.

so i offered this trade to someone else in the league. the more i think about the trade, the more scared i get that im giving him too good a deal. which probably means the trade is fairly even:

stafford+mcfadden

he gives me:
schaub+foster

he currently has flacco/schaub at QB, so stafford would be a big upgrade for him there. and foster would be a decent upgrade over mcfadden, but not as big a jump as he makes at QB. but i dont mind that much, because now i have a very serviceable QB for this week (right chase?), and i get rid of my 2-QB-wasting points each week, while upgrading my RBs.

fwiw, the yahoo trade evaluator said that i would gain 20 pts for the rest of the year, and he would gain 10 pts.

plan C would be to offer a diff team (with a crazy lady owner who is using random rules just to prove how idiotic the rest of the guys in the league are) a 1-week swap trade. ive never tried a 1-week swap, but it works really well in this spot, and i think the lady is gullible enough that she would be okay with it.

michael vick or big ben for 1 week

wed like vick more, but chances are she will click that damn yahoo evaluator and see that loses her 2 pts for this week, whereas giving up big ben would gain her 6 pts for the week. we would have to give her gore this week, since he is the only guy we have who fulfills her requirements to be played on her team (his jersey number must be divisible by 7 or end in a 7... and gores number is apparently 21).

I had a fbaseball team that was comprised solely of players with facial hair. JJ Hardy was the only bearded SS at the time. It was one of those free leagues on MLB that was prize eligible for the top .5% of league leaders, the beard team made it, but lost the first week. I got a tshirt out of it tho.
