The end of K-Dice... or the beginning of the end

The end of K-Dice... or the beginning of the end

Before you read on, for all of you imbeciles with short attention spans who don't like to read because the content strikes a nerve, and proceed to type the cutesy and 'I'm so cool' acronyn tl:dr ... just fuck off and go back to playing with yourselves...

For the rest of you, read on...

So once there was this gutsy player who dominated the game like most every other top performer. He had his own aggressive style, but like all the other top players, he favored his buds. Going back about 2-3 years ago, I personally was on the wrong end of his PGA fueled feeding-frenzy that lead to his victories. All the while, he was being as cocky as ever and making no apologies. (btw... I'm not hallucinating. I'm not speculating. I don't need fucking screen shots! I was there. I experienced it.) Sam was an asshole to those who were not his friends in his serious playing days.

Off main topic background commentary...

As I have said in past posts, favoring your fellow player is human nature. It is impossible to not favor someone after playing 50+ games with them. And if you're not favoring them, at least you're avoiding them(which is also favoring them btw) So I don't find it wrong to occasionally do a favor for a friend. ANY PLAYER WHO SAYS THAT THEY HAVE NEVER FAVORED ANOTHER PLAYER IS A COMPLETE LYING SACK OF SHIT. SERIOUSLY.

While I have made numerous posts in the past regarding the types of cheating and the lengths in which some assholes take to win, I feel that subtle favoritism is inherent in the game. This is why a 'team play' module would be awesome. But after years of people throwing this idea 'out there' and Ryan not acting upon the demand, I realize that Ryan only cares about $ & hits on his site. By having imperfections in a game, you gain several hits per month on your site-especially, if you have a forum. Lets get back on topic...

Basically, of the 4 types of cheating, favoritism or subtle PGA is impossible to stamp out.

Back on topic...

So this player who is 'holier than thow' is now a mod. He has been banning players left & right. He is actually taking out the players who are blatantly cheating. But to what end? For someone to be banned because they admit that they favor people openly? Seriously?

I seriously believe that Sam is going though a MOD-Life crisis. Sam, look deeply at the motivations that cause you to ban some and not others (your buds). While, I believe that strict action is required to ban the repeated cabal style teams, banning people for admitting to favoritism is a bit harsh.

In fact, I think Sam will need to ban about 90% of the old school players & 99% of the top 50 players for his crusade to be successful.

He will succeed in wiping out an entire community of players, just to be replaced in the near future by more of the same.

In summary, Sam I like the spirit of what you are doing, but your blade is cutting too many and cutting too deep. Look in the mirror. You Sam would not be here now if the same harsh measures were imposed on you during your medal runs.

Peace out.

yeah, you really think jurgen of all people is the best mod?

the same moderator who cursed out people he banned and made petty wall posts/threads among other things?

at least bonetroller never had the immaturity to behave how jurgen did.

Jurgen is a good mod..but too much talkative

He shouldn't even take on his free time to asnwer to idiots who have been caught for blatant favoritism..Just do it and answer them GTFO if they wanna know why...

That's idiotic to speak with the bunch of nerds and crying babies who are around

The point is..if you take this game seriously and go for medal..you'll end up idiot and act like all those retards around
If you can manage to play it only for fun, you WIN

Mr. Bismuth was right, I was the lone sheriff at the time. But I take FULL credit for the mods we have now since I asked Ryan for the first batch of mods (Sam/Rowdy/BR/Myr/etc.).

Jurg came a little later on both at my request and Jurgen pestering Ryan too. It's much better to have multiple mods instead of just one. I burnt myself out to the point where I hardly moderate at all anymore.

@WB

You make me laugh. Your self-projection of your so own social inadequacies are apparent. Go see a shrink.

Also, you have a choice as to what you read. I think that most of the 'hate' you feel is when a nerve gets struck by truth.

And in the case of differing opinions, well everyone has an opinion.

@ olk: I've given up on being talkative or explaining why I banned, it's a waste of time. Atm, I only comment when I feel I need to explain a rule or if there is another advantage by commenting.

@ travis: thx for misquoting or missunderstanding me. I WILL ban excessive racism, gayhate, verbal abuse in general. But either I have to see it with my own eyes or I have to have solid evidence. I will repeat that I will NOT ban every single nigger, gayhate, whatever. Ryan ASKS me not to overmod so I CAN and WILL only ban the clear or repeated cases. If you are really that fragile, I can't help you here on KDice.
