It's founded on profiting based on loaning money to others. Usury by definition implies excessive, and you certainly can't say that the entire institution is excessive.

My mortgage rate right now is pretty rockin. I certainly do not think my bank is "evil" or "unscrupulous" for making an arrangement with me that lets me buy a home.

The vanishing vocational programs and lack of actual life skill teaching in American schools is pretty sad and should be fixed. Smart kids will do fine as long as you can remove problem kids from the classrooms and give teachers the power to focus on the vast majority of kids that are simply mediocre.

i believe that's what the balanced budget amendment conservatives were pushing for in the 90s was arguing, yes. i'm curious is thraxle shares this sentiment.

The balanced budget amendment had nothing to do with my ability to buy a home. You are mixing apples and oranges.
