I don't pretend to have the panacea or answer to our nation's future socio-economic ails. I think that will be up to those future people to decide, that being said, I think there are inherent flaws in our current system and institutions and I don't have a problem pointing them out. Yes I think it's possible that the entire mortgage industry could become obsolete, just as it's possible the entire health insurance industry could eventually become obsolete.

I don't hear people crying about all the merchant vessel jobs lost during the world's shift from mercantilism to capitalism and the industrial revolution.

In the mercantilist sense I am pretty sure. But leave it to a follower of conservative demagogues to take things out of context. As if it was some kind if "GOTCHA" redoubt.
