degen, fact is, you're pissing people off by behaving like a fucking cunt (as you pissed me off by trying to screw me a win for no gain at all). you can't be surprised that people kill you asap. it might look like cheating to you, but trust me it isn't. it's not sympathie for others, it's because people hate you. live with it.

vets, you have a misunderstanding of what i tried to express to you, i said winning to me isnt as important as having a good time and friendship.

i click sit on every game wanting to win, i make every move based on trying to get the highest position possible with what i have to work with. yeh ok member tourney bonuses definatly help, but 12 trophies (and yes 11 are white) confirm that.

what i tried to convey to you was, yes i am competative but not at all cost, if i end up in a squabble for 3rd or 4th spot or even 7th and exiting a tourney, i'll flag or sit out.

i do have my own set of morals and ethics and i am not about to break them over a net game, i give and expect fair, however if i dont get it in return i dont really care.

degen is a special case, i have seen him screw over way too many people and he cant get it through his head it's all because he is an asshole. so degen has become my latest net project, i'm going to get in his head till he has an eating disorder.

is there pga at the top? NO, is there otf, ofcourse there is. the game is based on geographical war stategy, wars are won and lost on diplomacy and using your allies. Allies have to be earnt, you simply cant take one game of dice and let it stand alone.

you need to earn your stripes, and the ones who are best at this game arnt the ones who cry about it, they are the ones who lose their 2k games time and time again, go back to 500's get some more points and try again.

a lot of newbies see my trophies and ask me about 2k's, my advice is always the same DONT sit at a 2k table unless you know 4 of the other players, people will scream unfair at that, maybe it is, but it's nothing that none of the top 25 havnt been through.

scenario, you are in a game, you have borders with 2 players both of equal strength;

player A is a person you have played with many times, you arnt necesarily friends but you know them and you know they are a good strat player

player B is a name you have never seen, you check stats, they have been playing 3 months and it's probably their first 2k game

who do you hit?

one last thing vets, my post wasnt about backing up jurgen, it was all about pointing out how far degen's head is up his ass. Degen i'd love to be able to see your point of view but i cant get my head up that far.

3 things barmat:

1) you only sit 2k if you know 4 people? please tell me thats sarcasm. you were on the right track with your advice of you just have to take your licks before you get to know the top tables crowd and earn your respect, at which point you are an equal in most circles. but once you get there, who cares who else is sitting, sit with 6 random strangers, fine. hell, i sit games when i know 2+ ppl are going to pge me that game. table selection is for wusses imo.

2) i might differ from the majority on this, but when im in between a noob and a regular, i see my best shot at 1st as kissing up to the noob, then trying to 2v1 the regular. i hardly EVER hit the noob over the regular. cus then the regular would see that all he has to do is sit still and watch us fight until we both flag to him. if i want any chance to win, i trick the noob into 2v1ing the other regular. and during the process, i can take key terrs that will help me in the endgame against the noob. because he wont notice what im doing, and fuck, he loves me to death cus i am giving him a shot at 1/2 (but really just 2), which is amazing compared to what he was expecting: a 2v1 against him cus he was the noob. anyways, i know i differ from most at top tables who give the top tables the reputation of circlejerking and 2v1ing noobs.

3) youre a good guy, if you ever 2v1 me, if you ever stab me, good for you. its a war game, and i will never be offended. gl at tables this month :)
