Simmons is ok, but he is soooo full of himself it hurts to read him sometimes.

Simmons used to be 90% awesome 10% mediocre, he has fallen down to 40% awesome 20% mediocre and 40% just terribad.

The biggest problem for Verlander in this game is going to be his pitch count, he could go 6 innings strike out 12 give up no runs and still have to throw 120 pitches just because of how the Yankees can work pitchers. If he can get through 7 innings I would think the Tigers will win the game.

Simmons makes me laugh which is why I enjoy reading his columns so much, especially if it's a running diary or a fan mailbag.

Sabathia has been terrible the last month of the season and I don't expect to be lights out at all. I think I'm being generous with him making it to the 6th inning, but we'll see in about 8 hours.
