Skrum does the content of the post matter? That is to say, if you break the rules in your post I understand such banning. Or if you try to bump a "closed" thread. But how do you weigh in on someone being permabanned on their main for parodying someone - especially when said person has explicitly said they do not feel harrrased or annoyed. I see this similar for my creating a Boner Oiler account, for which I was not banned. Not even by BR himself, because he felt i broke no rules.

I dont particularly like one player having more than one account, so I don't have much sympathy for a player being punished on all his accounts for an action done on one.

I can agree to that sentiment skrum. But in this case in particular do you agree with the ban? If you dodge the question is it safe for me to assume you do disagree but don't want to get involved? If you do agree with the ban, what rule exact was broken? It is my understanding that having multiple accounts is not against the rules, nor is parodying another player - especially given that bans involving harrassment or impersonation have traditionally been on a request basis only. For instance, I was never banned for making an account called Boner Oiler, not even by Bone-Roller who it parodied, this was because no moderator felt I had broken a rule.

So not to be redundant, but which rule do you feel was broken, or do you disagree with the ban?

If you are using the word parody as it is used for literature, I don't think that parodying a player's posts is bannable, just as parodying an author's work is not infringement or unauthorized use of his work.

So impersonating you is like someone impersonating a hardened criminal in real life. Especially if it is their intent to confuse the authorities. So there is all the reason you need for a ban.

That's news to me rob but okay. It seemed more like jurgen was the one obsessed with me... I mean he banned someone posting with my rhetoric on a parody alt without any actual cause. If I seem brash or like I am trying to consistently undermine jurgen I am only behaving in kind - it appears the sentiment is mutual.

To skrum: so then it's safe to say you disagreed with the circumstances of this ban. Thank you, I'm glad at least one moderator isn't afraid to publicly disagree with jurgen here. (although I understand you can't overtly say jurgen is wrong)

If by in kind you mean childish and immature then I totally agree with you. It's just a shame that you turned out to be some silly little kid and not the intellectual I had come to respect at one point. You made your own bed.

Also nodice had been parodying my accounts for months before this on oiler boner and boner oiier. I never made a fuss though because I didn't care who was behind it and it was fun at my expense anyway.
