i dont want to come off as holier-than-thou. there are several huge instances where ive refused to flag out because i can take advantage of someone else favoring me. its an amazingly difficult situation; much easier to speak holy words, much harder to follow through with the appropriate mouse clicks when youre being offered the favoritism.

so from now on i should look out for getting banned if someone throws me a game or any kind of help? then i guess ill go help sam and he might aswell ban himself

The best thing you could do when someone does an unrequested favor for you, is to just be quiet and accept it. Don't try to rationalize to the rest of the table, don't try to act like some minute move earlier inthe game did it, just be quiet about it and say thanks after the game is over. The more you whine and complain about this not being fair only gives the mods more reason to believe you were doing something shady.

i remember Ryan would often get pissy at me when hed see me in the act of receiving a favor. but the irony that id try to prove to him was that he is probably the single most favored player on this entire site.

so its a tough argument either way. but its one thing to receive favors, its another to return them later. thats the definition of OTF. sam mentioned that there was acknowledgment in the chatbox after the game was over. i dunno.

after playing a couple dozen games at 2k this month, there is definitely some favoritism that is going on. i would even accuse myself of light OTF with svanic. i tend to counter-OTF when i see it going on. i guess my tendency is to never screw the noob with OTF, but to screw other OTF crews with it. id rather just play pure games, but its hard to keep to that standard. any OTF crews that screw noobs suck.

still, punishment needs to be handed out sometimes to remind us all to not be lame. in this case, erk was the collateral damage, sobeit. if sam were to ban me for receiving favors from svanic, i wouldnt bitch. ive been made an example of before. several times. from Ryan. you learn not to take it so personally after awhile and accept it as a good thing.

Monte, only kind of acknowledgment was when alex said that she knew of erk, and I can't remember if sam pulled it out of her... personally i think she just randomly killed lager out of (lets say) noobness.
