Beyond the Founding Fathers statement, there is more substance to the Stephanopolous interview that raises concern.

Like the fact that she flat out said she would not ever put a gay person in her cabinet. IMO what you do in your own house is not the business of the government or anyone else. If you shared that part of your life, you shared it, but that shouldn't limit your opportunities as a citizen in the land of the free. (Insert debate between appointed officials and elected officials and their private lives vs. public lives).

Though I tend to be a bit more moderate on the social conservative side than she is that is for sure. And yes she is right that this country was founded on a predominantly Christian faith, but with the understanding that there would be no religious persecution to anyone of any faith. Why the separation of church and state is important...one of the reasons at least.

Ps I revised this post a lot to not offend anyone with my personal views on glbt rights and make an attempt to be a bit pc. Again not my place to say if it's right or not. Hope the post still makes sense.

Yeah I agree that there is more substantive stuff; for example the gays on the cabinet question. Totally a politician trying to spin it both ways; or hide her views from the electorate.

She wasnt trying to spin anything towards a yes there dead. She said she would only elect people who shared her views. That is the political way of saying no i would not elect a gay person to my cabinet.

Then why not just say it. Because she knows it will hurt her polls.
