Should I liquidate all our stocks and buy gold?

Can't believe I'm actually half serious. I just don't want to go through another cycle of losing half our savings again (bad enough we bought a house in 2005 lol).

Btw; TC do you agree with this or disagree?

Because this is very much how I see prices/stocks at this point.

The GOP debate makes me optimistic for the long term; but pessimistic for the short term.

I'm optimistic because of you compare this years debate to 2008 debates; all the politicians are talking about better things. Audit the fed; limited government; less spending; living within our means; less militarism. This is proof that the electorate is moving in that direction. The American people are smart; but it takes crisis's to get them to drop their daily lives and pay attention to politics.

I'm pessimistic short term because many of the politicians in the GOP pack are realizing the above and beginning to 'talk the talk'. It is funny how many of the them sound like Ron Paul-lite. Many calls for limited government; newt is for auditing the fed; romney is against his own health care plan; michele is totally 'fighting the fight' for the tea party (where was she before...). All these are the narratives that they are trying to play. They are trying to steal the ideas of the libertarians to get elected; then who knows what they really do...

tna diaganal spread now sells for an average of 7.50

or a 15% gain in 3 days. if tna runs up to 70 by jan12, which i expect it to do, you would be looking at 307% gains.

ill keep you all posted bc i know you are feverishly awaiting the results

I don't see how tna gets to 70 without inflation; but I agree that it will probably get there. But only after a new round of qe.

Where do you see this growth coming from? Or do you agree it will be inflation?
