And my guy friend gets flack from some for being a stay at home dad.

This isn't a gender thing. This is a 'you are outside the norm of what I think you should be' thing.

And far more people these days are promoting the strong woman bit than promoting the be a stay at home mom bit. I doubt you'll disagree with that.

Yah i hated not being able to ask that question. However most women will divulge that they have kids in an interview. Even with questions like do you set goals for yourself and give an example they talk about their kids.

I guess I do live in a pretty conservative area Vermy so I dont see that side as much. So as you are speaking of it I'm outside the norm here in choosing my career life.

I think that the "discrimination" here is completely legitimate- it's based on how much the company will get out of hiring a childless woman or a man versus hiring a woman with a child or children. It's hiring a more dedicated employee, caeteris paribus.

mom I will get totally bored once my kids are gone all day. I'll want to go back to work, for sure.

daughter and i are saying the same thing...she just says it smarter.

also i had some gpokr female friends with kids read the article and post and came up with nearly the same opinion...cept they wouldnt post cause they didnt want to get involved in dice drama lolz.
