How much moderation have I done in the past year GB? I took a step back from moderating long ago for a number of reasons. I just bought a new house. I have child #2 on the way. I'm looking for a new/better job at the moment. I'm fucking busy. I apologize for not spending the time you want me to spend worry about Harry's virtual life. If this means I'm not being a good virtual friend, then it is what it is. I'm not being a tough guy. I'm not being self-righteous. I'm simply being a third party. I'm not involved, so stop trying to involve me.

OK, then you could have said that from the beginning. Don't act like we haven't been cool all this time, and don't act like you're better than me. I'm not part of this nerdnest because I'm also a nerd, I just got addicted to the game. I have a life, I get laid all the time, and you don't see me fucking playing on the weekends or on most nights. i don't even play that much! i don't even go for points anymore. i'm just not gonna get -play because of some jerk with a personal vendetta that thinks it's ok to set his own standards as moderator. i knew what i was doing would get me a -post, i was just trying to voice my opinion against what i felt were unjust actions. this place is supposed to be better than how he handled it.

When did I act like I was better than you? Stop taking your frustration out on me. It is neither warranted nor necessary.

Historical review: You have been disciplined by multiple mods in the past for inappropriate behavior. In the recent past you posted an avatar that was held by another mod to be inappropriate. You decided that you were entitled to overrule that mod's decision and re-posted it. You insisted on posting in a thread that was clearly locked. After you were -posted, you insisted on posting in it again.

You repeatedly disregard mod decisions, refuse to modify your behavior, and display contempt for the mods in general. You have profanely insulted me, jurgen, Thraxle, and Sam. Insulting me, in this case, may have been understandable, but insulting the others is not.

You have resorted to claiming that nepotism should justify restoration of your rights. That is just pathetic. Grow up. Have some self-respect, for God's sake. Stop acting like a spoiled child with delusions of entitlement. Stop thinking that you are special, that you can do whatever you like, or that you are being victimized.

I may restore your privileges when or if you display a modicum of mature behavior and respect for this site. However, as long as you continue in your current mode, the ban will remain. This may seem authoritarian; it is. It may seem arbitrary; it is not.

The point is that while people may deserve a warning before they are incarcerated, they do not deserve more than one. You have already had way more than one warning. If you want to be paroled, you had better display some sign that you have been rehabilitated, otherwise you can rot in Kjail indefinitely.

BR, don't forget me! I had my share of run-ins with him before, although we're on fairly good terms now (I think.)

Thanks Gurgi! Fortunately my first kid is already 4-1/2, so he'll hopefully be a big help with his little sister.

Second kid is so much easier (typically.) So many things I was worried/paranoid about with my first son just didn't really matter after going through it.

The first ride home from the hospital with new baby in the car was interesting - I basically viewed everyone on the the road as out to crash into us; I've never driven more defensively in my life. No small wonder car insurance rates go down if you have children.

Yeah, I thought I was going to break my son anytime I touched him when he was first born. You don't realize just how durable babies are till you have one.
