This is dedicated to all you self proclaimed conscientious patriots, We want to get this straight.

You didn’t get mad when the Supreme Court stopped a legal recount and appointed a President.

You didn’t get mad when Cheney allowed Energy company officials to dictate energy policy.

You didn’t get mad when a covert CIA operative got outed.

You didn’t get mad when the Patriot Act got passed.

You didn’t get mad when we illegally invaded a country that posed no threat to us.

You didn’t get mad when we spent over 600 billion(and counting) on said illegal war.

You didn’t get mad when over 10 billion dollars just disappeared in Iraq.

You didn’t get mad when you saw the Abu Grahib photos.

You didn’t get mad when you found out we were torturing people.

You didn’t get mad when the government was illegally wiretapping Americans.

You didn’t get mad when we didn’t catch Bin Laden.

You didn’t get mad when you saw the horrible conditions at Walter Reed.

You didn’t get mad when we let a major US city drown.

You didn’t get mad when the deficit hit the trillion dollar mark.

You finally got mad when.. when… wait for it… when the government decided that people in America deserved the right to see a doctor if they are sick. Yes, illegal wars, lies, corruption, torture, stealing your tax dollars to make the rich richer, are all ok with you but helping other Americans… well fuck that. That about right? You know it is.

You people have all lost your fucking minds. You are selfish, greedy, obnoxious, narcissistic, and frankly… stupid. Your pathetic little misspelled protest signs are embarrassing. Maybe you ought to find the smart person in your midst and let them make up all the signs, cause man, you look like a bunch of idiots. Also you’re ugly and your mother dresses you funny.

Its amazing to me that anyone--let alone a political majority of people--could think that any human being should be denied health care simply because they are, for whatever reason, unable to pay for it. Do these people lack even the smallest modicum of empathy for the worst off in our society?

You guys think medical care grows on trees. A lot of nerve both of you have acting holier than thou when neither of you are doctors.

If you want the poor to have free health care go become doctors and provide it to them yourselves. Until then; spare us your adolescent aganst and self rightious crap.

"You guys think medical care grows on trees"

see I thought this was the start of a joke...but then I got to the end and I was like "wait, is he for real?"

I am disappoint.

deadcode, actually it is up to the politicians and the economists to decide, you can say alot about doctors, but in general they are not economists.

in most of the rest of the western world, people are quite happy to pay for healthcare for all. even the rich in Norway has no problem with it, they know that the free schools, social programs and free healthcare reduces crime and makes Norway the society it is today.

I know I am happy to live a place where most agree that social cooperation is important and that the society should take care of its weakest.

also dead, I am doing more to provide healthcare for the poor in Norway by being a mathmatican working for the industry, contributing to the export surpluss than I would do being a doctor, because as you said, it is expensive. But I am far happier contributing to the export surplus when i know it helps provide free healthcare than I would be otherwise

You didn't get mad when you elected a President that doesn't have the intestinal fortitude to stand up for what he campaigned on.

You didn't get mad when he continued many of the policies that his predecessor instated.

You didn't get mad when the the deficit continued to spiral out of control to the record level it's at now.

You didn't get mad when the unemployment mark went above (and has stayed above) the 8% level that Obama promised it would remain below.

You didn't get mad when Obama didn't end the wars in the Middle East.

You didn't get mad when Guantanamo wasn't shut down.

You didn't get mad when the Bush tax cuts remained in effect.

Actually, most of you guys probably did get mad at the above items, yet for some strange reason you still support the man.

And you call us dumb...

I'm all for giving universal health care if there's a decent way to pay for it. Trying to pay for it during the worst recession since the Great Depression, all while not cutting spending anywhere else, was not the right time or way to do it. Find a way to pay for it and it's yours. Otherwise, shut the fuck up.
