I'd prefer to keep about 5 keepers in some of the leagues I've played in since the late 90's. I love the thought of being able to root for the same player over a career rather than just for 1 season. I like the thought of long term strategy (should I draft this highly touted rookie? will he be a bust? will he be awesome for 10 seasons?) I want to buy a jersey of someone other than one of my sorry ass Redskin players simply because I have them on my fantasy teams.

Unfortunately, whoever does shitty the first year in this format will probably lose interest in playing future seasons because you can't change your fortunes season-to-season.

If we keep the league at 14, one keeper is the max that we should get, but if we cut it back to 12, keeping two players seems a little bit more reasonable
