Top tax bracket right now is 35%, that is for income over 370k+

I am not arguing tax hikes on the top 98% of wage earners as a panacea for our budget issues, but it can help some.

I am all for medicare and social security reform as I think these a great programs that should continue to exist as a safety net for our sick and elderly. I believe in a moral society and some times that requires limiting the freedom of markets to assist those that can no longer work.

Sam it isn't a straw-man. Raising taxes hurts jobs; it's a fact. Add that to the fact that raising taxes will not really increase revenue by much; and it makes it an overall bad idea.

Btw; notice how I'm keeping my 'fucks' per sentence to a relative minimum? This is a tough problem to solve; but it makes it even more difficult to understand if you are blinded by emotions particularly anger.

Limiting the free market for the alleged "benefit of the poor" is what got us into this whole mess. I think it is time to stop spending other peoples money on these grand experiments in social justice.

We can argue this all day; but the fact still remains that we are 2.5 years and counting into Obama's policies and the economy has only gotten worse.

The guy has spent more money then anyone else in the history of the world; and we have had no effect at all. It is time to declare these Keynesian policies a failure and start implementing Hayek's recommendations.

You argue abolishing entitlements I argue reform. Your ideology allows for no compromise, mine allows for the taking in of new information and changing my point of view on what direction I think is right. Relativism > Objectivism.
