i believe if there were an active mod community, this could happen. like if there were 5 active mods, they could privately discuss cases where a player is too abusive (despite whatever their intentions are), and then announce an apt punishment.

but since jurgs is the only current active mod, no way will anyone be punished by a single authority on grounds this light. if we had 5+ mods discussing it, it would feel more unbiased, sort of more like a jury than a judge.

in conclusion, we still need more mods, mostly because old mods are burnt out or dont have the time to spend here any more. a site with this many users really needs dozens of active mods imo, and currently we only have 1. and even in the best of mod-times, we've only had like 3 active mods.

and really, 'fuck around all he wants'... I played 36 table games and some tournies in June. yodel was in 2 of those games and got butthurt bc i didn't gift him a place he didn't deserve.

right right, im not necessarily against this particular post. moreso the overwhelming negativity/arrogance that he displays. he has learned how not to get banned, which words are bannable, while continuing in the exact same spirit. hell, yodel doesnt even hate me as far as i know (although im sure he might start after reading these posts).

he has a righteous cause, to get rid of top-table circlejerks. and lets be honest, some of those still exist. and he also comes up with some witty oneliners here and there. but overall, i would not want a new site-user to come on the tables or forum, and be confronted with a personality like yodel. that person has three options: 1) believe yodel, and become biased against everyone at top tables, 2) take what yodel says with a grain of salt and delay to make judgment until he/she has acquired enough experiences playing kdice to make their own knowledgeable conclusions (lol, right), or 3) run the hell away from this site because it is full of loonies.

so if i were a mod i would try to talk yodel down from his acidity, and if he refuses, then i would start a conversation with other active mods to see what their thoughts are.

Plus one
