So wait, let me get this straight. You're saying that tanking your account on 5k is cheating?

Hopefully one of those women will haul you into court and the judge will impose restrictions on your internet use

In Italy and Spain it's legal to do that.

Obviously none of those future lays would know though - and if they ever found out it's because I told them and they were into it.

actually I think that's legal in a lot of european nations, so long as you do not distribute the tape or commercialize it

In some contexts yes, the example I cited would be one, tanking accounts to funnel would be cheating. Context matters, you cheat, you don't think you do but those that moderate KDice have a rather well documented consensus that you don't play fair. You haven't shown a willingness to accept that the people Ryan left in charge have tried to push KDice away from the direction it has veered.

I want Ryan to change the mechanics of the game, that doesn't look likely, so why stand by and just let things continue to slide downhill. KDice still has solid traffic yet 2/5k tables don't fill because the majority of players simply refuse to deal with the the inner circle of stupid that is pervasive on the upper tables.

I would argue that the lower tables are pervasive with stupid and the upper tables are generally more open-minded. Yes most games in the upper tiers result in cooperation to win, is that a bad thing? I don't think you can argue it is one way or another.

Now, people overtly favoring a group of friends over random people of equal skill and prowess - that I can understand being a problem. But I would submit to you that fonias, me, kostur, and whoever else you banned under these pretenses for the most part do not play like that. If this is really about circlejerks helping each other win points you should ban boogey, clarke, gaunt and their clique temporarily so they get the message - not people like fonias, who are generally respectful players and do not play like the above.

As far as why there's less 2ks and 5ks, I would chalk that up to site traffic. If you want to check the Alexa statistics, traffic has been going steadily down since around the summer of 2009 - coincidentally when KDice began to ramp up its moderation.

Now correlation does not imply causation but certainly some things changed or maybe didn't change that lead to the dwindle in site traffic. Jurgen made a good post about this back in October of 2010 before he was a moderator I believe with site traffic graphed and every month being a new low.

happytoscrap/crystal is a good example of what I'm referring to but I'm not sure if we're talking about the same thing.

I hate playing games where I know two people will always end up not fighting each other unless forced to because they're OTF or friends.

I generally am willing to fight anyone or do anyone a favor when I play so long as I see a return in it for me - friendships do not get in the way of this and if someone is upset because of this then I don't really want to be their kfriend anyway.

Wow, hook line and sinker. What a complete meltdown by Veta in the last two pages. Completely admits to cheating and tries to rationalize out of it.

Completely exposed.
