temperatures where well over 100 °F/37°C but the weather reports said 95 ish and 35 ish + also on the thermometers that you could find in the streets of Beijing Our guide told us that it was because people would be allowed extra breaks if temperatures rose over 100°F everybody knew but at the same time people chose to ignore it and kid themselves it was less hot |
