His newly elected son, Rand Paul is fighting the good fight as well.

Btw; the Tea Party got Rand Paul elected. So don't say they didn't do anything for you BO.

Very scary what he says about Visa bills.

Btw; Libertarians are gaining more and more power in the Republican party each day. This is a good thing.

Rand Paul is the one blocking the Patriot Act not Ron Paul.

Progressives and Libertarians share a lot of views dead. I would say the biggest difference is that progressives realize that while the free market is good for a lot of things (infrastructure, industry, etc) it has short comings. And these short comings often come up when the markets in question aren't necessarily free. This is especially true in the case of public goods like proper education, good health, financial security and the ability to find a job with sustainable income. It seems to me that these are the responsibilities of a just society and a just government.

Edit: unless you advocate destitution, unless you advocate poverty, unless you advocate inherent in equality in the system you cannot advocate a morally unjust or indifferent government.
