On a serious note, Rob is right. I used to think that the best thing for me to do would be to leave KDice all together and never come back, but I've realized I was totally wrong. There is nothing wrong with KDice; we have here a great community with an extremely diverse set of intellectual individuals. The forum is equally great, as Thraxle has already mentioned, for a stimulating conversion or for a good laugh. I actually like coming on here to see your guys' "faces" and to chat it up. What's bad is becoming too obsessed with points, and letting the monthly competition dominate your life. Every one of us enlightened "veterans" has been there before, but we were lucky enough to see the light, so to speak. So for all those "newbies" out there, and for those who have been here long enough to be considered veterans but are still susceptible to allowing points to bring out their bad side, I have some invaluable advice for you all:

Don't worry about the points. They truly mean nothing, and no matter how many you accumulate, or how many golds you are able to win, you will never gain as much satisfaction from them in the long-run as you might think. So don't let them get to your head, and PLEASE, do not live/breathe/sleep KDice and schedule your day around the tournaments, etc. Live a little! Even if you're an ugly troll, go out and get some sun, enjoy the beauties of nature. Sign on to KDice when you need a break from real life, and while you're here, have some fun play (be sure to seek a good game, not just point-gain) and if you are into the forum, contribute something intellectually/comedically valuable to the many ongoing conversations. And if you want, contribute something completely worthless. We won't hold it against you :P

I so agree with Thraxle's initial post. I try to stay out of discussions about American politics because I feel I am not informed enough to express an opinion. But I usually like these lengthy discussions and I read them with a lot of interest. The least you can say is that we have some very good argumentators around here. Even though I don't agree with everything, it's very interesting to hear from all sides in these discussions.

So this is what makes the KDice forum just as addicting as the game itself: it has a mix of game related topics, some fun stuff and all the other off-topic discussions.
