1) Astros winning a world series 2) Texans being above 8-8 3) Brad Lidge blowing a save 4) A NASCAR wreck that burns down the racetrack and all its inhabitants 5) Kevin Durant styling 6) Heat losing 7) Dirk's 'Oh-shit-im-falling-backwards-jk' shot 8a) Hockey fights b) Hockey shootouts 9) Shots of the cheerleaders at college sporting events 10) Tiger winning The Player's Championship (would be very apropriate) |

So... people can't just arbitrarily pick a team that catches their interest at a young age and decide to follow them the rest of their life? When I was 7 I went to Tampa Bay for a weekened one summer on a family trip and got to watch a Bucs workout and meet a couple players. Ever since that day.. Bucs fan. That makes me a bandwaggoning fuck? Around the same age, everyone and their uncle was a Bulls fan, so I pulled for the Jazz in a the NBA finals against them, decided I liked how they played... and voila a Jazz fan for life. My parents are from New York and are big yankees fan but I am not from New York. They put on all the games and rooted for the Yankees... and voila, created a Yankees fan out of me. But I am not from New York, Utah, or Florida and do not personally know any player on any of those teams. So.... Im a yankees/bucs/jazz bandwaggoning fuck? |

at 3:56 PM, Wednesday May 11, 2011 EDT Probably 30% of all baseball fans are Yankees fans.....most of them are bandwagon, even if they learned it from their parents because their parents were probably bandwagon. It's easy to love the most successful franchise in all of sports. Had your parents been Mets fans you may not have turned into one since they sucked for much of the early to mid 90's.
Meh.....I just hate the Yankees. Same said for Cowboys fans. There are Cowboys fans all over the country.......why?.......cuz they have won for two generations (the 70's and again in the 90's). Thus bandwagoners jump on board and swing from their ballsack....even if they live in Seattle......or Cleveland......where their teams suck and they don't support them. Loving the Bucs and Jazz isn't bandwagon.....but the fucking Yankees is!!! :P |
