at 8:37 PM, Friday April 29, 2011 EDT I'm almost 100% sure you have to be born on American soil (includes US embassies, foreign army bases, etc.) to run for President, Boner. This report says that Mitt Romney was born in Detroit:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/George_W._Romney And no, you have to be a native born citizen. George Romney looked into this before running and legally, a native born citizen is one who is born to an American citizen. |

at 4:09 PM, Saturday April 30, 2011 EDT Wait, I read the article....I get it now. So we know about Bush's schooling and his grades, but Obama's is a big secret because _______???
I keep forgetting, Barack is above the rest of us and doesn't need to validate anyones curiousity despite the fact that he's the most public figure on planet Earth. I keep forgetting these double standards that are in place because he's a democrat, and because he's (half) black. I always forget that the media swings happily from the ballsack of the liberal left. /couldn't have said it any better |

at 4:16 PM, Saturday April 30, 2011 EDT McCain wasn't born in the United States either. We'll probably never really know whether an American citizen born outside the US can become President until a lawsuit involving such a candidate finds its way into the courts.
This could happen if a foreign-born candidate were elected and the electoral college's choice was challenged in court; or, more likely, if such a candidate's right to federal campaign subsidies was questioned, or if a challenge were mounted against a foreign-born candidate's right to be included on a state ballot. |
