I am very glad to see KDice hasn't become abandonware yet. This game has so much potential, also financially for ryan I think. It would be such a waste to abandon it.

Monte raises a very good point. I am sure you could find at least a few motivated programmers willing to improve this site for free. A more healthy situation could be to pay 10% of the profits or something but basically, I think there are a lot of "safe" options available for free.

this point has been raised before but we need to come up with a top3 or top5 of small improvements that can be done with very limited amounts of coding. I wouldn't underestimate the effect of a few small additions or changes.

This game is still great, don't get me wrong. Actually it hasn't been mentioned yet but Ryan should get a huge thank you from us all for keeping this site alive and running reasonably well for so long now, doing everything on his own. But the reality is there. After playing for a few months, the novelty is gone for some players and they leave. Luckily there is a harcdcore group of addicts (together with people who just love the social aspect of Kdice) but to keep the majority of people comming back, you need something new from time to time.

There are also a few mod improvements that can (should?) be made. There is a reason mods become a bit less motivated after a few months. I don't plan on quitting soon but I feel I do need a break now. Things that are reported and need to be investigated and dealt with take hours to monitor while a few good tools could reduce that time to 15-20 minutes. I am gonna put my thoughts on this aspect in the mod forum though, for security reasons.
