I need to make this post now. I've only started playing kdice since December 2010 and for the past two months, I've been contemplating quiting this site. This site is like a mixed bag of emotions for me: the game of kdice is so addictive and fun and challenging, but the people on this site are massive douchebags. Not all of you are bad players(I can attest to some players here who are really nice, fair, honest players), but oh man, a lot of you are. I don't even know where to start because there are literally too many player to remember who have either broken flags, created their own rules, straight up lied to everyone about a particular happening, or have just been pretty much annoying has hell using played out internet memes like their life depended on it. And it doesn't happen just once in a while, it's every day I log onto this site. It's honestly ridiculous.
The whole atmosphere of this site is just sour to its core. A huge portion of this site doesn't play fairly (something I feel should be the utmost important factor to this game and website) and it ruins it for players like me who try to hold that up. I don't know how this can be changed unless everyone takes a look at how they play and ask themselves if its a fair move or a revengeful, dickish move. Anyway, it's not like I've accomplished much on this site. In Feb 2011, I got 50th which was nice and I won a few tourneys, but overall, the people on this site ruin any fun I have here. I always end up closing the tab upset and frustrated, and I'm honest when I saw I am a calm person, but this site gets me built up for those reasons I've mentioned. I know this is just a game, so that's why I'd rather just stop playing it instead of having to deal with the bullshit. So yeah, the point of this other than to ramble is that I'm leaving this site cold turkey. I'm going to pretty much blacklist it and see how I last. I might come back, but changes need to be made at kdice if it wants to get back into a fair, balanced game. I don't know if anyone cares I'm leaving, but that's one fair player lost and tons of asshole players winning. On a final note, it's funny how my last review I checked tonight was one by PaperKutZ that says "Makes the game fun for a change! Good guy." It's too bad there aren't more players like that who are nice like that on kidce. |

at 3:27 AM, Monday April 4, 2011 EDT I also just want to reiterate that there are a good community of people here on this site, it's just a small, select few compared to the nobodies and nevergiveashits on the site. It's really a shame, because the group of regulars on this site are fun to talk to and strategize with, but ultimately, this game has too much of the bullshit with it to make me want to stay. Sorry for those who had fun playing with me.

at 3:35 AM, Monday April 4, 2011 EDT well, I am sad to see you go. Any normal player lost is a loss for the site. You are right that Kdice could use some changes, both for the features of the site as for the attitude of some players who will be jerks for a few lousy points.
I can only advise you to take some time off and come back fresh with a tougher skin to handle all of the unfun things about this game. You gotta admit it has its great aspects too or you wouldn't have stuck around for that long. Only every online game will have its mix of jerks, crazy teenagers and noobs to ruin it for some "normal" players |

try taking a breake, you have played meany games past few months. And with meany games = u meet meany mood bags, this site will dry you out in the end. i hope u wont give up =) |

at 8:07 AM, Monday April 4, 2011 EDT an addition to this game that a LOT of people have been asking for since 2008ish is an ebay-like account ratings device. basically, after you finish playing a game with someone, you are allowed to either vote +1, 0, or -1 to your experience with them that game. and everyone would have an extra tiny icon next to their avatar that shows their rating, which would be easily used to show where the douches are, and where the honorable players are.
there are 2 reasons this has never been implemented: 1) the site admin is convinced that the 0.5% of time-wasting insane cheaters will create thousands of alt accounts, and then abuse the ratings system to make themselves seen undouchey, and make honorable accts seem douchey. this is ludicrous, imo, since the site admin also argues that there is a sprawling mass of thousands of normal players who dont give a fuck about top tables or cheaters. if that is the case, then the ratings would be a good thing. 2) the site admin has stopped actively coding additions to kdice for the past 2+ years or so. there is a small group of kdicers who are willing to work pro bono and code a lot of excellent features to the game which would make it more fun and more profitable, yet the site admin is convinced that he cannot trust anyone with the code, because theres a chance that they will backstab him, steal his code, and... well hell, i dont know what. but point is that the site admin isnt coding new stuff, and seems that he will never trust anyone else to code new stuff, even his moderators. no one is asking for money, everyone is trying to make HIM more money. sigh. instead, we are stuck with kdice from 2008. |

(hoe is president, with an infinite term) Ryan, if you still read forums, or answer anyones emails any more... why wont you let people help the site get better? these people would sign whatever documents you present them (or will write up the documents for you) that say that they will not steal your intellectual property, and that you can amputate their penis if they ever try to make monetary gain. trust me, there are truly good people on this site that want to help you. not everyone is a fiero, or an rnd/nuf/mikey. |
