at 11:24 AM, Saturday February 26, 2011 EST teaching how to think is not reserved for dictatorships. democracy cannot work without an informed public that knows how to prosess the information.
therefor we cannot have a functioning democracy unless we teach people how to think. I think it is almost preferable with a dictatorship than with a mob rule democracy. |

at 11:57 AM, Sunday February 27, 2011 EST Thx mr Kreuzfeld for pointing out a 'benefit' of humanities.
So as i understand, the humanities are a tool for indoctrination (teaching), whereas sciences stands for learning about the nature, without any regards to the momentarily prevailing society. boogybytes: it is good to know about history. unfortunately, history repeats itself over and over again sadly, i cant find any translations for pinting |
