Humanities teach you how to think

Sciences give you knowledge

teaching how to think is not reserved for dictatorships. democracy cannot work without an informed public that knows how to prosess the information.

therefor we cannot have a functioning democracy unless we teach people how to think.

I think it is almost preferable with a dictatorship than with a mob rule democracy.

Pinting is good, whether it is in humanities or science.

Chase you can learn how to think from anything, I learned how to think about things from physics/math. Do what fancies you, work had it, and read a lot of books(different books) and you will get all that you need.

Thx mr Kreuzfeld for pointing out a 'benefit' of humanities.
So as i understand, the humanities are a tool for indoctrination (teaching), whereas sciences stands for learning about the nature, without any regards to the momentarily prevailing society.

boogybytes: it is good to know about history.
unfortunately, history repeats itself over and over again

sadly, i cant find any translations for pinting
