I didn't ban it right away to give it some thought. I can't come up with a possible harmless explanation of this account name. I want to be tolerant for controversial names as much as I can but I think there must be a clear line and this steps over the line of no hate stuff. It reminds me too much of Jerry Falwell's quote that AIDS is not just God's punishment for homosexuals but it is God's punishment for a society that tolerates homosexuals. I have played closely with Aids fan before and he is not a homophobe, a republican, or even a believer in religion. It is really suprising that anyone actually gets offended by this as I know he only means it as a silly joke. Personally I know someone with this disease and they would much rather have a laugh about it than let it get them down all the time. Aids fan tells me he didnt mean to offend anyone and to be honest its unfair of you to ban his account without a warning and when other players behave much worse and use racism.

And just so you know there is a subculture of people in this world that purposefully give themselves AIDS, would someone in this group not be able to create an acct expressing his opinions (obviously this isnt the case, but i make a point)? AIDS, when treated probably kills people slower than smoking does. What about "i_love_cigarettes"?

People got offended by it and even though I think it was weird but maybe acceptable, I am going to act on their complaint. Sakkhar, if Fan100 is really the friendly guy you suggest he is, I am sure he will understand the problem some have with it. He is free to make a new account with a less controversial name and come find me. as far as I am concerned AIDS has nothing to do with homosexuality.
