ASR: Marius_1987, followed by montecarlo, then Fonias ASR multiplier: SmartJoker, followed by Rowdyazell then montecarlo (with an honorable mention for me in fourth, mostly because I was at 1.89 then monte started pwning me last day of the month) TAZD*: SmartJoker, followed by 1st.skyler, then Honyo The TAZD* is a modification of the TAZD in which positive deviations for first, second, and third places count for you (eg, having more firsts than expected is good) and negative deviations for fourth, fifth, sixth, and seventh count against you (lots of 7ths is bad). Additionally, the TAZD is normally multiplied by the square root of the number of games played. I have elected to cap the TAZD* games bonus at 300 games. Please let me know your thoughts on the TAZD* and what can make it better! The ASR is calculated as follows: ((games*PPG)(4*1st percentage+3*2nd+2*3rd+4th-6th-2*7th)/100)+(games/25) 35 games are required. The ASR 'multiplier'(ASRm) is 4*1st percentage+3*2nd+2*3rd+4th-6th-2*7th. This is the term games*ppg is weighted by in the ASR. at 3:00 PM, Wednesday February 2, 2011 EST the standard ersatz calcs will be erroneous for some people for january. im one of the more extreme examples. simple math says 139 games * 535 ppg = 74365 + 0 stars + 0 membership
subtract that from 104,269 to get ersatz of 29,904 except, you can see in my last ten tourneys, which cover all of january, that my ersatz should only be 11,850 (or 8,050... does ersatz include subtractions for tourney entry fees?). difference of 18,054 (or 21,854) sadly, my last 10 games have disappeared from my stats page. my theory is that the missing points were accumulated after midnight. i recall looking at the leaderboard page, and while the point gains after midnight were reflected in the total scores, they were NOT included in the highest daily point gainers column. i really wish they had been. woulda made my ppg (and asr) jump significantly, while dropping my apparent ersatz points. |

I don't really trust the ppg as much anymore because other people have had a bunch of 'bonus' points that were obviously table points. I think fiero had an extra like 2k points? but had played no tourneys and didn't have membership that month. He also didn't play the last three days of the month or so, so there is definitely something else going on. There's as much as .5*#/games in error just for rounding.
